This is my second day using slin and need some guidance. Taking my shot, carb drink right after, protein within the first hour. Eating a good dinner within an hour and a half of the shot. At about the 3rd hour, I get the shakes and lightheaded. Last nite I devoured a pint of ice cream, tonite it was a couple of bowls of Cocoa Krispies. I'm trying to eat clean but these cravings are tough. I have some glucose tabs -- maybe I should be popping a few of those instead? Would appreciate any input. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ||

Bro you're going to get fat as shit eating that after an insulin shot. Insulin will take that stuff straight to your fat stores, not good. It's hard but you gotta eat clean for at least four hours after your shot, as little fats as possible. ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ||

HEy Jay whats up bro, Slab cat is right, as i said in the email you sent. i would suggest a stock pile of food just incase you start getting hypo i dont think that carb drink alone will do the trick, here are some high carb items to supplement the drink mind you these are more complex and will take more time to get into the system 1) Fat freee bagel with fat free cream cheese that should about do it And remember you are not a sping chicken so you are more prone to storing fat ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ||

It sounds like you are od'ing. How much are you taking. You shouldn't be taking more than like 6 iu if this is only you second day. and remember that 10iu's is 1/10 of a cc. ![]() ![]() ![]() | ||

Its not only carb high foods you need after. Its foods with a high glycemic index. Also how much carbs are you taking with the shot. Its should be 10g per 1iu of insulin. The best thing to get hold of is 100% pure maltodextrin. Just add it to your protein drink after you work out ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ||

Hey, it is good that you are insulin sensitive. You don't have to use much. Try this. Workout ends 1/2 glass grape juice injection 10grams of creatine (I use the kind that already has carbs in it) wait 30 min 2 cans of tuna, 1 cup white rice. This should get you going pretty well. Remember that simple carbs will be used very rapidly. Complex will take a little longer. Have some of both. email me if you have any other questions. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
