Im thinking about using slin shortly the only prob is I lift late at night around 8 o I was thinking about Humulin R around 6 o and 30 min. later eating good carbs then before 8:00 get me a good protein/carb drink and small meal. Head to the gym with a carb drink in hand just in case, come home around 10:00, eat asap, then take pro at 11:00, then eat before bed at around 12:15 will this be safe to do? I feel I have the carb bases covered hopefully but I was wondering if this would be too late of an injection time. Thanx guys Mr. Natural

If you could I would change lifting time to 6pm take your shot at 8pm with carb drink, eat at 10pm, then go to bed around 12:30. I think insulin has got to be used for that most important four hour window after you lift. I feel taking it before you lift is counter productive. Use the search feature and click on archived topics. There's some great advice on how some of the other bros have used it. Good luck.

You could use it before your workout cuz that's what i do on days i end up workin out late just make sure you drink a carb drink right after the injection (extra carbs) to compensate for what you're gonna lose during the workout and just take a sugary ass drink with you to the gym and just sip on it while you workout just in case. I've never had any problems with the slin pre workout and i do it all the time just take the proper precautions, play it safe. And let me tell you that the pumps you get during the workout are like no other not even dbol pumps. you're gonna look fake when you're done. you have nothing to worry about as long as you get more carbs than needed pre workout and by the time you get home and eat your postworkout meal the Humulin R will be peaking at the perfect time. to me you get more out of the slin when it's used this way. and you have to worry about the fat less cuz you won't be sittin around for an hour wanting to eat everything you can't.

Bro, do not take it b4 you work out. I know one of the bros said it is ok, but I disagree. Training causes your blood sugar level to drop, so does insulin. Dangerous combination. Besides it's after you work out that you want your aminos, carbs, creatine etc. buffered to the muscle cells for recovery. I'd also find it hard to eat just before going into the gym as well. I'd throw up. Either train earlier, get Humalog which has a shorter life than humalinR or don't use it. I used Humalog at 9:00pm and stayed awake until 12:00. Also remember the signs of hypoglycemia, some of them are pretty similar to the symtoms of a hard workout ie. dizziness, lightheadedness, sweating. How could you tell if you were going into shock?

I usually get light headed during my workouts anyway from low blood sugar. If you do not, then you need to work harder, my opinion. I don't like drinking anything but water during my workouts either because sugars will seemingly slow me down. Hard to explain. Anyway, take it after your workout. If you can't do this, take it directly upon arising in the morning.

I think stengthmonster is right. low blood sugar from training + low blood sugar from insulin = dangerous combo. I'm sure some guys will get good results this way, but if you're just starting out with insulin, why take the extra risk? You'll still see good results if you take it immediately after a workout, too.

I workout from 7 to 9:30 and I shot 10ius right after. I go to sleep around 12 and I'm fine. If you take it before take a carb drink. Drink 1/2 15 mins after shot, then sip the rest throughout your workout. I take 10ius when I wake and 10ius post workout. Becareful, but to make you feel better about insulin, I took 100ius for 3 days by accident. I felt hypo 1 time on the last night, I had a coke and some tuna and I was fine. I am 235lbs, so my weight had to help.
