21 will be ok but it will hurt pushing it in. May cause some tissue damage. I'd use a 23g. Insulin pins won't get it deep enough, they are designed for subcutaneous injection (just below the skin). ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ||

I've used 21g for glutes, and I think that was even too large. I wouldn't use anything less than a 25g for delts. With a 21g you're asking for scare tissue. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ||

Anything thicker then 25 gauge is I N S A N E and not necessary. And i am talking of oil roids. Anything thicker then 28 gauge for waterbased roids is also insane.
