I recently read a post on a nutrition board that says you can only digest 30 grams of protein at one time. I think this is bullshit but i am not sure. I think it is bs because you are supposed to eat around 6 meals a day. According to 1.5 to 2 grams of protein per pound of body wieght, i need to eat around 275 grams of protein. Well that would mean i should eat roughly 45 grams per meal throughout the day. How can that work if you can only digest around 30 grams per meal. Supposedly! Sorry about posting it hear, i just hate posting on those nutrition boards cause they lick ass. Let me know about this cause i think the guy is full of #$*!. Thanks bros. later

Personally I think alot of this depends on the individual. Being a big guy you are going to need more protein than a little guy. I don't think you will have any problem at all w/ the 45g per meal. What are you eating to get your protein? When I am training I eat tuna straight out the can drained with fat free italian dressing it kills the fish taste. Good luck bro. Hope this helps.

I get my protein from chicken breast, i mostly consume about 3 chicken breast per meal, with vegatables and rice or patatoes, and a piece of fruit afterwards

If you wanna get 20lb heavier you gotta eat what a man who is 20lb heavier would eat! That's the way I see it. Personally I believe if you want to grow eat too much protein. You definately won't grow on too little. I try to consume at least 600g /day, 6 meals of 50g.

From what I've read it's meant to be 1 gram of protine per KILO of bodyweight for a standard person and 2 grams of protine per KILO (not pounds) for weight trainers/bodybuilders

actually you only digest 40 grams of protein every 2 hours. the extra protein your stupposed to get is most likely to come from protein supplement such as shakes and bars. this is the only way feasible to achieve the desired amount of protein per day

During the cycle I eat about 300 grams a
day and this causes weight gain. If I
don't eat over 200 then I start losing weight.

You have to consider the amount of food for
the following:

to live + to train + other activities + keep the muscle you have + the new muscle you want= how much food you should eat.
