Hi Guys, I really need some good experienced advice. I started working out about a month back now on the same schedule as Markus Ruhl, and I started taking creatine and protien. I can't afford to start anything sooner then Jan. 1, so that will have to do. I haven't been eating very well, so I droped down to being 5'8 and exactly 125lbs. I workout everyday, but all I am really doing is burning fat, and I have noticed a few gains in strength. So thats me and my question is what should I start taking in Jan. that will really start packing on some good bulk. And if possibl could you guys help me out with a few good referances of suppliers on the net. Thanks a lot. Shane

If you have only been working out for a month I would not recommend taking gear. Your natural test levels are at their highest point, take advantage of this. But if you must use gear I would recommend you read a little before you start. The decision must ultimately be yours and taking advice blindly is risky business. Start by going to the search section at the top of this page and entering First Cycle. Make sure you change the radio button to point at archived post. Knowledge is Power

shaner, you should learn how to work out first. you won't learn shit in a MONTH! expecially back training. i've seen guys that have trained for 5 years and still not training in the "right way". set your goals. be realistic! at 125 lbs you're not even started your puberty! eat, goddamnit, eat! learn how to train. train, and learn. taking roids from the day one is a bad, bad idea.. ok, man? peace..

OK, I'm not sure exactly the structure of Marchus Rhul's workout but I know that it will be too much for you. Marchus is a pro and has taken many years of personal experimentation to develop and taylor his workout. Training everyday is too much for you. At 125lb you main goal should be size. Cut your workouts down so that you aren't overtraining your body. More workouts does not neccessarily mean more size. Your rest days should be just as important as that is when you do your growing, training simply damages the muscle tissue but you need to rest it to grow back bigger. Get enough sleep, ignor the pre contest diets of pros and just eat as much as you can. Its a gradual process so increase the amount and frequency that you eat slowly but surely. You should stick to basic mass building excercises and learn about what works for you. Write a diary, set goals. If you want to buy a supplement get extra protein in your diet from a good weight gain type protein powder, preferably with carbs, multivitamins, vitamin C. Start to study foods and learn about their content so you can develop your own eating routine. Hope all goes well for you. Follow this advice and enjoy your natural growth while you can.

I agree with the strength monster, you are defintley over training at the moment, I would cut back to three days a week like this :- Monday Chest/legs Wednesday Back/tris Friday Delts/ bis This worked real well for me when I was natural, my priorities then were real food, six times a day, loads of sleep and intensity whilst in the gym (House of pain) As for your mate who has made huge gains on creatine, that is the most comon excuse I have heard from pussys who want to hide the fact they take juice. I would say, train for a full year natural and then consider taking gear, if you feel the sport is really for you. How couldnt it be BIG IS BEAUTIFUL !! ------------------

I have just started eating properly, I bought a huge amount of food. I have good rest times, I only work 1 muscle a day. So I have lots of time to heal after I work my muscles to the bone. My friend who was and mabey still is on creatine is now a semi-pro bodybuilder, he came second in his 1st compitition. As for following Markus Ruhls work out, I only follow his off-season bulk up workout schedule. His pre-comp training would only slow things down.

I don't think he should do a chest/legs day that would be too much. Try something like this: Chest/Shoulders/Abs And make sure your eating enough food.Again AS is no subsitute for diet/workout/rest just an addiotnal boost once you have either hit you potential or come close to it. One month is not even close, there is no overnight cure to building a big physique it takes time, patience and dedication. Good Luck to you.... ------------------

Well done! You've taken the first step towards getting massive, getting stocked up on food. Training is the easy part compared to the eating. It's good your bodyparts are getting rested but remember if you only do one body part a day not to do too many sets on it. Especially smaller muscle groups such as biceps. At this stage you'll see growth training a variety of ways as your body is new to all of this. Just experiment for yourself bro and stick around this board my young jedi.

Thanks for your advice. I do know how to train pretty well, this is not my first time, this is just the first time I have in a long while. My main question was when I do decide to go on juice, what would be a good cycle, something for a first time, I for one dont want to take some crap thats going to do nothing, and two, I dont want to take too much and burn out my receptors. So a good building first cycle is what I need to know. Thanks for all the advice.

Stop thinking about juice for now. You have too much to learn about training and diet. Juice is at the top of the mountain and right now you are in the valley just begining the ascent. The best thing to get you huge is FOOD. Learn how to eat. Diet is the single most important factor in growth. Spend the money on food. Also learn how to train YOUR body, not Markus Ruhls. It may take a couple years to figure out what training is most effective for your body. You have to tinker with your training and find what works for YOU. This takes time, patience, and experimentation. Not one month. Once all these points are covered and you know how to completely manipulate you body, then you can think about AS. This is not an age thing, its a maturity thing. It is about the knowledge you have. Once your training and diet have matured then AS becomes an option. At 125 you have a lot of growing to do naturally. You probably don't relize that all you have to do is eat. Stick around here and you will learn about AS. You will be able to figure a cycle out for yourself when the time is right. Responsible use takes a lot of knowledge, not just the opinions of a couple other people. For now just eat. Go buy a twenty pound turkey and eat the whole mother f**ker. You will get better advice if you ask questions about your diet and training for now. Concentrate on those aspects of the sport and it is guaranteed you will grow. ------------------
