You can make your own topical solution using a vehicle that's similar to what's used in Rogaine by crushing the tablets and dissolving in ethanol, propylene glycol, and water. For the ethanol, you can use Everclear from a liquor store. This is 95% pure alcohol. You can have a drugstore order a pint bottle of propylene glycol for you for about $10. I'd recommend about 60% Everclear, 25% propylene glycol, and 15% water. Make relatively small batches at a time and store in the refrigerator. Even better, in my opinion, would be to use spironolactone in a cream vehicle, rather than a liquid solution. You can have a drugstore order a 16 ounce bottle of a cream vehicle called Dermovan for you for about $30 (this is specifically designed to be a vehicle for topical drugs). You powder up some spiro tablets and mix thoroughly into some of the cream; a 2% or 3% mix is fine. I think this should work even better than a solution. That's pretty funny littleguy, spiro is an anti-androgen. I'm using it to prevent hairloss. ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
