Hi, I've heard that there's a drug that has been licensed in this country for a about a year that is highly effective in reducing / stopping male pattern baldness. My BNF and MIMS are too old to have it in and I've not been able to get my hands one new ones (yet!...). Does anyone what it is? Is it topical? Is it effective? I believe that the years (and the gear) or beginning to take there toll :-( Cheers! ------------------     | ||

Nope! As I remember it's a weird name like GU, GI. I believe it's a local anti-androgen that works a bit like Finastride. ------------------ | ||

As of now, the only topical anti-androgens that are on the market are spironolactone, and azelaic acid. There is a topical and natural anti-androgen product by the name of Revivogen that has been somewhat effective for some who have tried it. Use proscar or propecia proscar being the better of the two you get more for ya money... both help stop conversion to dht making hairloss less of a prob |
