as some of u guys already know, i am recovering from a shoulder injury. (A/C joint, inflammation along with some minor tendon tears.. anyway, yesterday this guy at teh gym recommended a sports injury therapist (at pain management place) who will basically rub my shoulder really hard, breaking up the scar tissue, increasing blood flow etc. i am kinda afraid, wouldnt it tear more if he rubs it that hard? if he breaks up the scar tissue, wouldnt that cause more bleeding in the area, thus causing more inflammation? have you guys ever got that type of massage? did it help? or do u think it would help? | ||

Same here. Still have troubles... inflammation of my shoulder tendon. I will have my next massage this evenenig. Believe me, it's like hell! But it helps... after 4-5 times visiting my therapist, the tendon was more "smooth" (better bleeding in that area) and the pain is slightly going away. You will NOT love the pain but you will love the results! BTW, if you take some stuff like NAPROXEN to relief the pain - try CELEBREX (celecoxib) instead. Here in Switzerland it's from PFIZER.
