I always consume 1gram of protein per pound of bodyweight. I really beleive and have found to be true through my own experiences and experiments that any more than that is worthless and can even be counter productive. I know that 1g/lb is perfect on me. Ironicly, when I cut back on my proein intake(by almost75 grams a day) I started getting much better gains. I replaced those calories with carbs. I feel too many people are afraid of carbs now. What has worked best for me is emphasizing carbs. I eat 2.5grams of carbs per pound. I use a 60%-30%-10% ratio. Carbs/protein/fat. Since I have emphasized carbs more and scaled back on the protein I have been growing like a weed. My bodyfat% is also on the decline. Carbs arn't the enemy they are made out to be. Just eat complex, nutritious
carbs and your body will be well fueled for growth. The amount of calories varies just like anything else. Depends on your weight and metabolism. For 275 I would shoot for 5000cals a day. You may need more. The most important thing to relize though when it comes to diet is that everyone is different. Everyone will respond differently to certain aspects of diets. What works for one may not work for another.

As far as protein is concerned I would shoot for 1.5 grams a day. For calories I would do 18-20 times your bodyweight. Usually I figure out my protein first then I take 30% of those calories and use them as fat calories. The rest of the calories are carbs...

I find it kinda of difficult to put on weight. In fact I am on 500 grams of protein/day and 6500 calories at the moment.
Fed up of always feeling sick but its only a 10 wk cycle.
