I as Im sure many mods have noticed lately there has been a ton of senseless bickering on the board. I think in all honesty many of us must remember a few things. Number one, this is a free board with some of the best knowledge out there! The fighting is stupid, and if you disagree with something on a post, answer it with tact, or take it up over email, you prove nothing by being insultive and look just plain ignorant. I have got nothing but support for this topic. Big Bump. F*ck all this bickering and flaming. I used to flame alot of people pretty bad. But I guess I got tired of making enemies and more interested in making friends and learning, so I quit. I suggest others do the same. People make mistakes and must we flame them to death because of it? We just lost one good board member, who will be next? | ||

Very well put, my friend. I have said it before and I'll say it again - honor and respect is what the brotherhood is all about. I have never met WCP, but I know him and he knows me because, as he said, we share the same pursuit of physical perfection. I know what he does each day; the sacrifices of diet and training, the risks & costs, the difficulties he faces in earning a living or attaining an education while finding the time 5 days a week for the gym. Anyone who is truely serious about our way of life deserves honor and respect. After 20+ years of addiction to the iron, this is the biggest change I have seen. In the past, there were no scammers, no internet badasses, no neon fitness clubs. There was only the brotherhood - in every town a group of hardcore weight trainers gathered in some crappy gym, garage or YMCA every evening. If you were serious, you were recognized and treated with respect in any of those places. If a guy had gear, he showed it and you bought it if you wanted to, no sending off Western Union with a hope and a prayer. New people were helped if they were polite, thrown out on their asses if not. Damn, I miss those days. We can have that here in our forum if we chose to. | ||
