Whenever a post is responded to (no matter the content) the post goes to the top of the web page. So when somone types BUMP (or any other text) in response to a post, the post goes to the top of the page. When a post is closer to the top of the page, in general, more people will look at the post and thus have a greater chance of responding to the post. BUMP for the newbie.  |
