I have problems digesting protein, I've tried different kinds and it doesn't help. I get crazy gas, and have to shit like 4 times a day. I'm currently taking whey isolate and it's not as bad as others, but it's still bad. Is there anything I can do? ![]() ![]() ![]()

It takes a while for your body to get adjusted to large amounts of protien. Try lowering the # of grams per serving. Also spread you intake over intervals. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

try some digestive enzymes and perhaps some acidolphilus for optimal uptake. ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

You may be lactose intolerant and since many whey proteins still contain small quantities of lactose you can show these types of symptoms. Try lactase supplements or try a soy protein to test this idea. If this is unsuccessful then it may be bacterial. You can attempt to alter your intestinal bacterial population, using Lactobacilli supplements along with green tea extract. This combination has been shown to decrease anaerobic populations, while supporting Lactobacilli. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
