I'm not fat mind you. Its just annoying to have this little, but visable roll around my abs/sides/ back. I can diet & get rid of it, but it requires consid. effort & I envariably loose muscle too. Plus, as all you guys know, it tends to come right back. Lipo actually removes fat cells permantly---as oppossed to dieting in which you keep the cells, but they shrink temporarily. I'd be curious to hear from anybody thats had this done awhile back---1-2 years plus.

Diet, Cardio, Winny, EQ, Deca, Fina, DNP. . .get the point. . .Lipo is an excuse not a solution. Just an opinion.

If you have a problem area it IS a viable solution. Rather get it sucked out than diet and loose valuable muscle IMHO... I just had a tummy tuck (because of weight loss) I am tracking progress and will have before and after pics later on.... Puc

Kodiak I see your point & I tend to think along the same lines, BUT: By the time you are in your 20s you have a fixed number of fat cells in your body. For the rest of your life, you wont gain any new fat cells. However, the cells you do have can get larger or smaller. My thinking is---if lipo permanently removes the cells around problem areas (& it does---they never grow back) then maybe this would be something to at least consider as far as long-term treatment of those areas. Don't get me wrong, I'm not advocating a lazy, quick fix. But, if this makes it easier to permantly resolve problem areas, maybe it should be considered an option. I'd really like to hear from anyone who had this done several years ago to see if the problem area is no longer much of a problem.

quote: I have the same problem. Cardio and all the drugs in the world don't change the fact that there are a set number of fat cells in a specific area. I can get down to 8% BF with splits in my biceps and striated delts and still not have my lower abs. In fact, I plan on getting lipo too. ------------------ Visit my website (free of all Musclehedz pictures) at http://profiles.elitefitness.com

Hey panerai, I was interested in knowing if having this done makes it easier to keep off in the long-term. When did she have it done? Is she satisfied with the long-term reselts? Thanks bro.

She did it on her stomach, butt, back and shoulders. Now even if she gains weght it's different, kind of evenly distributed over the body and even if she gains 20lb. her stomach stays flat and firm. She loves the resaults. What I learned from being around that your choice of doctor is most important ick the best! Also, don't go for big areas, with lipo it's much better to do few small ones, than one large. You have to be very disciplined after, because that's the time for reshaping. You will need to wear tight corset all the time for like a week at least-the lipo area is gonna be like piece of clay-the way you'll shape it at that time is gonna stay! It's gonna be a lot of pain, bro, for 1-2weeks,probably you won't be able to sleep, but if your doctor is good, you'll see it worth it.If you live in Tri-State area,I can recommend you very good specialist.Good luck!If you have some more specific questions I'll be happy to help.

With this stuff it is suppossed to be very dependant upon the skill of the surgeon, so I wouldn't look for just the lowest price. I'd do alot of hoework to see who has alot of experience & a really good reputation in my city/area. Based on what you bros have said, it seems like an attractive option. |
