Im all natural as many of you know already. I am not a fucking radical looking to ban AS, in fact I respect anyone who uses them informatively. My question is this. I currently curl the 60lb dbells for 10 reps per side, Is this pussy wieght? How many of you on AS can do it?

Pussy weight,LMAO... Everyone is different, and it depends on how much a person weighs, ect... And naturally, i could curl the 60's for 3reps at 157lbs.

It's not HOW MUCH YOU LIFT, it's how you look WALKING DOWN THE BEACH WITH YOUR SHIRT OFF!!!! Remember that when you're trying to max out on lifts and compromise form and intensity!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, these numbers are really irrelevant, they depend a ton on your form. With bad form i can easily add 20 lbs to my dumbell curls.

Badkins said it very well. Its all about form. I had to learn this the hard way by trying to be hercules(sp?) to grow. I have never been very strong so I felt like I was never going to grow cause I couldn't lift as much as that guy who is half my size. I said f**k this shity form and no results. I decided to try perfect form and higher reps instead of lifting poundages to impress myself and others. WORKED. Never have I grown so fast or so well. It isn't about how much you lift it's about how you look when you're done lifting it. Bodybuilders don't compete in the weight room, we compete on the stage. No weights up there. Nobody is judging on the kilo's on your power clean. They are judging your physique.

E2 is right as usual, Form, how big are you, what do you weigh, . . . there are way too many variables. I can swing 100 pound dumbells for 10 reps, but I weigh 240lbs. I am certain there are bro's that can do even more. Strict curl with a 5 second negative every rep is my usual dumbell routine. I only use 50's for 8 sets of 8, and that is the end of my bi workout. Funny, I am leaving now to go and do it. Try that if you want size and conditioning in the muscle without ever hurting the joint.

Pre-cycle: 5lb curls.
Post cycle: 200lb curls.

Pretty good gains, eh? LOL

Bro, like they said above, it's not how much you can lift it's how much muscle you can build. Some of the best powerlifters out there are really not that big or even defined. AS will make you stronger yes but you're not going to be superhuman.

I am 100% natural as well. I have been told that I am freaky strong for my size. I curl the 90 to 100 pound DBs(with a little cheat), and I strick hammer curl the 110lbs. I think your weight is very good. Look at the guys around you. they curl half that and they are struggling to get to 10. keep up the heavy shit.

I am looking to start my first cycle at the beginning of the new year.

Later BROS.

OH and if anyone wants to question my lifts please email me and we will discuss this in detail.

Bodybuilding is different than powerlifting...In bodybuilding, do whatever it takes to grow i.e. lift light weights for high reps if that's what works.

Thats alot of weight dude! All you need to do now is find a curling contest to enter so you can show your shit! Im just fucking with ya bro...seriously, I do 1 direct set of curls(the rest are forearm exers.)& only use like 65 lbs. on a straight bar & do 15 reps with a pause at the top. Its not a major muscle group & NOT IN ANY WAY A TEST OF TRUE BODYSTRENGTH to say that "I can curl this much"! Start deadlifting & then bring back some more numbers ya natural mofo ya! JK again

Ok i feel like a puss.. I usually stick around 40-50lbs and get a hell of a burn.. works for me.. I see no need in going up above that weight unless u can do it VERY strict form. Trust me, take a 40-50lb weight and keep your elbows locked, CONCENTRATE on your bicep and bring it up slow, down slow.. that is what works your biceps.. not swinging a 150lb dumbbell.

I stay between 30-50lbs. As I get stronger I try to go slower thru the exercise. For me this creates real strength. When I lift in a typical fasion and get stronger it goes away quickly (when u stop lifting) b/c (I think) it conditions the nervous system more than the muscle. You may not handle the big weights right away if you train with a very deliberate rep, but you will prevent injury, condition the muscle more, and not pop so many friggin vessels in your eye lids.

Not wow us with huge numbers like a lot of people thought and tried to flame him. Play nice everybody. I have been wondering the exact same thing for a while now. I only curl 35's with strict form for 15 sets of 8 and then I do 15 sets of 8 dips or skull crushers on arm day.

I have a saying I use when people tell me I'm lifting "soo much weight".

"Max weight is subjective."
My meaning is much more clear though:
Your heavy day is very likely someone else's light day- regardless how big you think your or aren't.

I tripled the whole stack with one leg. It felt like my kneecap was going to pop off. Probably the dumbest thing I have ever done in the gym.

Sorta OT, but don't you hate it when some "hardcore lifter" decides to incline press the 130lb dbs, and you are the one he asks to help him set-up? I mean, the punk is never able to get the 'bells to his shoulders, so you spend 5 minutes handing him the damn weights while he sits on the bench making tough guy faces in the mirror. Then you have to spot him up for the first rep and he gets in two partials and then grunts loudly whilst dropping them from the top, almost taking off your foot.

what the f$%# is the point of that? It happens alot at my gym. I mean, if you want to press a max or single, double or triple, do it with a friggin' barbell! No one gives a shit about how much you DB press...

how bout this

for traps, when u do shrugs, i find a small jerk, almost like adding some power to the movement, adds to my traps, when i do shrugs slowly and squeeze i dont feel it as much as when i bend my legs a little and jerk it a tad
i still feel that form is the most important, yes, as badkins said, but i am a fan of small cheat to heavy sets, that gets you through training barriers and also pushes ur muscle a little farther than it can go
