Author | Topic: need your HELP - inflammation of my right shoulder !!

For more than 3 months I've got troubles with my right shoulder. It's an inflammation of the tendon. I've been visiting a doc... first we did a local injection of cortison to relief the pain immediately. Afterwards I did physiotherapie with ultrasound. I tried to keep the workout to a minimum. Chest workout hurts as hell - especially bench press. So I quit all bench pressing movements and tried slow fly movememnts. The only thing I can do without pain is a leg workout - but who wants to do 5 leg workouts a week!? ;-) After 1 month of physiotherapie it still wasn't better - the pain was still the same. So the doc gave me CELEBREX - this blocks the pain and should help with the inflammation. It was ok while I took the tabs - after 3 weeks I stopped and the pain came back. I visited another doc - we tried a second local injection with more cortison. Didn't help. The main problem is, that these docs don't know anything about sports (what is bodybuilding?)... and here in switzerland you can't find a good doc for sport stuff. I finally found a good physiotherpist - he's doing physiotherpie for professional hockey players and knows pretty well my problem. I already lost 10 pounds, because my workout sucks and I this gives me a big problem in my head - my muscles are shrinking! I want to speed up the healing process !! Sorry, for this long topic... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Naproxen is fine, I like ibuprofen. Next time a doc suggests cortisol, tell him no thanks. Cortisol breaks down muscle and joint structures. ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Ibuprofen at 1200mg/day (3x400mg) didn't help. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

take naproxen AND ibuprofen or some other pain killer on a FULL stoumach or you will get cramps from hell. my dad has back problems and he gives me his naproxen and some vicodin or percoset, works like wonders on my shoulders and wrists. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

3x800mg ibuprofen with meals is fine. Adding aspirin or naproxin is okay. Dexamethasone (a corticoid) trancutaneous with iontophoresis (physical therapy procedure)is good for tendonitis of the shoulder, and is better than cortisol injections. Peace! ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Doc Atlas is on the money..NO MORE CORTISONE...sure its great for short term relief but when you take the long term effects into consideration its not a good option at all. Have you considered a low dose of deca [say 100-200mg a week] it will do wonders for you. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
