Since I increased my protein intake to about one gram per pound of bodyweight each day, I have been making ALOT more trips to the stall than I normally do. And it stinks like a mother. Is this normal? Does anyone else experience this problem? Is there anything I can do to stop this? I'm going to start loading on creatine next week and I know that will make it even worse. ------------------

You need to add fiber to your diet. The liquid protien just flows right through your intestines. I try to eat a whole bag of light popcorn-wait about 30min and then drink my shake. Also try and add some micro bacteria to your diet. I take some from Sciff. It helps your stomach maintain a good balance of healty bacteria so your food can be broken down faster. Before it enters your digestive tract.

Hell ya, lots of protein gives me lots of gas and sometimes shits. I usually get about 1.5grm or more per lb of bodyweight. Lately it hasnt been bad though. LIke someone said you could get a supp containing natural bacterial flora. Look for something containing acidofilous (sp).

Im willing to bet your GI problems began when you increased protien intake through whey. Whey protien in excessive quantity, this is variable, will fuck with your GI tract. Introduction of fiber won't solve the stinky gas problem, only a reduction in the foods promoting these disturbances will. Give it a shot, examine your diet and the primary source of your daily protien, bet you Im dead on. ------------------

#1 use a digestive enzyme to help digest all the excess protein #2 use a bacteria flora (re:ryker suggestion) acidolphilus and stuff like that to aid in ph balance and misc bullshit in the Gi tract #3 use a type of fiber to keep the intesnial walls clean allowing for more availabe surface space for absorbsion. If youre not familair with the digestive process thru the instesnial walls, let em know & i'll put up adetailed post. very important to know!

well man don't forget about fat... and plenty of it I know it sounds crazy but go buy a big ol bottle of sunflower oil and squirt a couple cc's into your shake you wont really taste it and the fat will give your body the energy it needs to better use that protein for nitrogen retention... well that is a whole nother post... trust me sunflower oil is great especially if you are a hard gainer easy loser

Aminogen is a protein enzyme digestion enhancer supplement that is over the counter that seemed to work well for me. Cheap like 10 bucks for 90tabs.

as mentioned b4, it's verry commen, and the answer is add some fibers to your diet. it would slow down the digestion , cut down the gass, and add tp the healthy becteria in your body. P.S. try to use the protein that r more easlly absorbd by your body, like whey.
