I just got cable modem and every time I closed my browser I was getting an error. Something in the file advert.dll. As I searched on Yahoo for it, I found out it was from a shareware program, and it is secretly placed on your hd to track what you do on the internet. It sends 4 pages of information including your ip, what pages you've been too, etc... to shareware websites. I don't really think it's a security threat, but damn that pisses me off knowing that someone has tons of info on me. Delete the files "advert.dll" and "adimage.dll" it will take care of them tracking you, it's in the windows/system dir. ------------------     | ||

Well if you think thats bad. The FBI & DEA use a sytem called Carnivore. Basically what it does is searches the web and e-mails for any doucments/pages which have certain key words in. (They choose which keywords the want). It scans through everything on the web and they keep a copy of everything that have those keywords in. Im glad I live in London, but now England have just brought out their own version of this. No mroe privacy in this damn world. If you want to find more info on Carnivore do a search.
