i used to pick my nose all the time and it would never bleeed after i started cycling it blleed once in a while and while im in a cycle it always bleeds especailly when i use harsher gear liek fina     | ||

Nose bleeds are a sign of high blood pressure which can be caused by certain types of AS use. I'm no medical expert so I can't explain the physiology of it. More konwledgable guys have posted on high blood pressure before, so you might want to do a search for that in the archives. | ||

my bp is 150/90 i rememebr the nurse looking at me like i was nuts like damn thats high but she didnt say antyhing about either did the doctor so i guess im fine | ||

Hypertension is characterized by systolic blood pressure (the "top" number, which represents the pressure generated when the heart beats) consistently higher than 140, or diastolic blood pressure (the "bottom" number, which represents the pressure in the vessels when the heart is at rest) consistently over 90. You're borderline. Your doctor might not have commented fo ra mumber of reasons, but it's still high enough to cause the nose bleeds, I think. By the way, do you experience _any_ of the following: nausea, headaches, anxiety, sleeplessness, excessive perspiration, heart palpitations, tiredness? These are all symptoms of hypertension, too. | ||

for my sleeplessness i take simply sleep makes of tylenol pm i take 4 of those pills and i get nice enough to go right to sleep and also im usuallly tired and i dont get alive till nite time | ||

Did you say 4 tylenol PM a day every day? Is it safe to take so much acetaminophen? also, I heard that aspirin thins the blood. If this is true of acetaminophen, too, could that have anything to do with the nose bleeds? [This message has been edited by lpw (edited November 15, 2000).] | ||

large quanities of acetaminophen can also damage liver and kidneys. on top of the liver toxicity of AS, I'd say be careful. |
