How many of you will use the same needle that you draw from a bottle with the ones with a rubber top, does it really dull the neddle too much. Ive never done it, but doint doctors and nurses do it that way? [This message has been edited by jackhammer (edited November 13, 2000).]     | ||

Not just dullness. Sterility is also an issue. | ||

Nurses do not have to do squats with the ass they just stuck with a dull pin. I always change em, it makes a difference. ------------------ | ||

I used the same needle last week, two days later, I had a knot half the size of my butt cheeck, at the injection site. it f^cking hurt for about 3 days, could hardly sleep. get on some antibiotics and now, a week later its finally gone. point, I will never do that again, I recommend that you shouldn't either. it ain't worth the pain. | ||

Just change the needle on the end with a new one, that way you don't have to transfere the solution.....Ya it makes for a lot easier stab......FOOZ | ||

I normally draw with an 18g needle and if one of you crazy fuckers want to shove that in your ass, then you should be sore! I switch up, sterilize the rubber stopper before sticking it as well. WCP ------------------ | ||

he-man, u said you use the same one but change needles once or twice a week.. does that mean you draw w/ the same needle to stick yourself with or you use the same syringe over more then once? i hope its the 1st scenario, cuz I think the 2nd is pretty unsterile. | ||

Why not change the needle after you stick it thru the stopper? It's not like the fucking things are $10 a piece... | ||

I think it makes a huge difference. You can get drawing needles cheap. Always better to hit your ass with a fresh pin. BPP | ||

Do you guys use disposables or what? I just picked up some from carecenter.com. If I switch the pins I'll be wasting the other barrel. Where do you guys get yours? ------------------ | ||

I would change the needle drawing from amps also. You'll probably have to scape the bottom of the amp to get all the oil out which in turn will dull the needle. Use a new needle. The things aren't made of gold!! | ||

Well I tried for the hell of it today. I used a 22 guage and drew from a rubber top bottle of EQ and tried to inject it, I couldnt, I tried to push it in and it wouldnt go. And I tried again pushing harder still it wouldnt go so I changed the needle and it worked fine but I still had to push hard, Im use to using 23 guage with no problem. | ||

22 is bigger than 23 in the world of needles so I am little confused. Yes, I use the same needle for drawing and using. . .works fine, just let the oil drip down the pin for lube. | ||

i always use the same one i draw with and never had a problem. i do sterilize the stopper though. Jackhammer are you shooting in the same spot all the time or am i reading this wrong. just wondering. | ||

today when i hit a nerve, i went to the other side with the same pin, and believe it or not, it hurts worse than the nerve spot i hit a few hours ago... i used a 1.5" 22G... do not do it!!! your ass will hurt -MIKE- p.s. oh and i might add that i cannot walk :� | ||

Draw w/ something big like an 18ga (it sucks up the oil-based stuff quicker) & then replace the pin with something like a 22 or 23---you shouldnt really even feel it going in if you do it like this. That little rubber stopper or touching the needle tip the the bottom/side of a glass amp will dull the hell out of the needle---you can tell a huge difference. | ||

Beyond the obvious facts that the needle is dulled by insertion into the vial and that its far quicker to use an 18 gauge to draw with, I think you should also take into consideration the potentioal of hooking the needle when you use it to draw from the vial...a bent needle in your ass is an experience you will not soon forget. |
