Instead of writing, "return to sender" on the package and leaving it near the door. Would it be a good idea to throw it in the trash and then after a few days dig it out. If the DEA comes knocking you say that person doesn't live here so I threw it out. Would this work do ya think?     | ||

sounds good to me just make sure the trash man dosent pick it up or there will be some big ass rats in the land fill. | ||

Isn't it a federal offence fucking with the mail. Basically throwing someone elses mail is like tampering with the mail. Just writing wrong address or return to sender would suffice. | ||

Thats true. If its not yours you cannot throw it away. You have to write return to sender and send back. I beleive it is a federal offense to throw away or open anyone's mail. | ||

Yeah, but I am not saying you would actually throw your own gear away(the trash in the house). Would they check there? And they would probably over look that you were throwing it out considering they want to pin it on ya. I am sure the DEA has come across the ole return to sender trick many times, how many times have they checked the trash for gear?How many times have you thrown out mail that was someone elses that didn't live there? If they are coming in to bust you they should think that its you on the package, if its in the trash it makes them second guess it. | ||

I will tell you even a better and fool proof way.....Get your gear take it in the house and let it sit unopened for about 4 days, the dea or customs will come usally in 3...If its not opened really nothing they can do....If nothing happens and no one comes then go to the post office or local store and get a envelope or package materials that look just like your package, tear off the part that shows where it was mailed from and the postage. Throw out the package in the trash and watch for anyone going threw it.....tried and true......FOOZ | ||

If you live in an apartment complex you can dump it in the big dumpsters then get it later, I doubt the feds are going to sift through that big ass can. ------------------ | ||

They can't touch you if it is unopened, there is no need to go through the drastic measures of throwing it away and trying to find it in the trash.....just write Return To Sender on it and let it sit out in the open in the living room or something......but lets face it, if they want to bust you for it, they will. If you have anything else in your house they will find it and thats that.....consequently, find a good hiding spot somewhere away from the house. I have a little pond near my house that i bury my stuff in, it sounds crazy, but i promise you they will never find it!! ------------------ | ||

Hehe, better yet, I can go through your garbage without a warrant  Hehe, not a bad idea. But skip the complexity and just have it shipped to your house using the initials of the previous owner/tenant. | ||

Here I think they'd have to prove it was for you. If you put return to sender they'd probably know but I doubt very much if the courts would convict. ' Actus reas' - guilty + act 'Mens rea' - guilty mind = the crime! |
