Found a new little trick today.. If you think johnny law is out to get you, and it makes your paranoid enough to format your hard drive, don't go to the dos prompt and hit "format C:" I found out there are utility programs out there that will write zeros to the entire drive (which will make it unrecoverable except to maybe the cia etc..) if you think it's serious, this is what you'll want to do. Go to the home page of your hard drive manufacturer and look for their utility downloads, most will have them, I know Western Digital does... Run the software, clean the entire drive, then smash it with a hammer until it's really fucked, then NO ONE can see your shit. Hard drives only cost $100 bucks.. Lawyers cost 1000's.

Just sharing with my iron bro's.

Why not just smash your hard drive up with a hammer and throw it in the dumpster? Not like they're going to be able to piece together a trashed hard drive. Or will they?

They can piece together a smashed hard drive if it's not truely erased.. by writing zeros instead of a format, they cant link tracks, and cant pull shit of it.. Logic is, a couple of emails only take a few microns of information up on a platter, so if it was broke, they could still read.. why you smash it after writing zeros is that while intact, they have clues where to look.

if your that paranoid,

Use Fdisk.

Then take a Magnet from a big speaker or the likes and give that bitch a sweep.

Hard Drives work on magnetic fields. Just like a VHS tape. Take a Magnet to one of them and see what happens. Or should I say not see.

When this becomes likely- how much notice do you think youll have- what you can do all boils down to that - what about using a laptop kept in a different location than your home-even your car trunk-this would buy time to do a cleaning of the hard drive-tomo
