i have been trying to recover from a shoulder injury in the past 8 weeks. and it doesnt seem to heal. i know it takes time but it shouldnt take this long, it wasnt a rotator cuff tear or anything.. doctor said something about AC.. but he wasnt worried about it too much.. since its not healing, i was wondering if i should shoot some deca? has anyone tried this before? or how do u guys recover? thanks

I have been lucky enough to only suffer from severe tendonitis in my arms, and now I know to keep away from exercises that instigate it. I am not to familiar with your injury, but as a rule I would say let it heal all the way up, the deca will help by way of water in the joint area kind of a lubing action.

Find out exactly what your injury was. Find out the recommended rehab for your injury. Do it for a few weeks. Also, high rep excercise with light weight healed my shoulder seperation very well.

i guess there is no way the doctor can tell what is really wrong with my shoulder without an mri. however i have been doing frontal and lateral raises along with some other PT shit everyother day (light weight, high rep) but it came to the point that i dunno if i am healed.. it hurts alittle no matter what i do, so maybe i should ease my way into presses. but thanks to slopains response, it makes sense. its very frustrating to be able to do only rehab shit while everybody else is lifting. (not too mention all the fat gained during this rest period)

My AC joint on both shoulder have given me trouble in the past. The Ortho Doc would shoot some cortizone (spell)in the joint and it feels much better. You have worn the padding in this joint out so it is now rubbing bone to bone. I found what workouts i could do that only caused alittle pain. Stuck with them for some time and next thing i knew nothing was bothering me anymore. Well until my wrist started hurting. In bodybuilding we will always have something sore. Good luck

Andre, I have had both shoulders done. Take the Deca. It will help recovery immensely. It should have you back to normal (as normal as you can get during rehab) in 4-6 weeks. Take 400mg/wk.

keep doing the high rep light weight on your excercises....also, do some aerobics and focus on your diet to keep fat gain at a minimum. i have been trhough knee surgery and i know what you mean about the rehab process... if you do take the deca, be careful not to get to siked up and try to get big and strong. remember that you are taking it as a therapy!! good luck.

Well even though you didn't ask for my help in your last post. I'll help you anyway. LOL Andre, I would take the Deca its great for recovery I have used it when I blew out my knee. It seems to help with the joints in the way tha it brings more fluid to your joints and it acts like a cussion. This would be the best way to go. Also Hit up the therapist, along with the Deca would should be fealling good in a while. Remember take it easy for a while and lift lite. ------------------ Lift |
