I just finished a 7-day cycle of DNP at 600mg a day split morning, afternoon, and night. I ate clean throughout the cycle and did 4 sessions of light cardio. I know the DNP was real because I did feel hot and had quite a bit of sweating. I have been off the DNP for 3 days now and the effects are completely gone. I'm pretty sure that most of the DNP is out of my system. Now for the strange part. At this point I am 4 pounds heavier! At first I thought this was water retention, but the weight is sticking after 3 days off the DNP. I don't think this is the "anabolic rebound" effect either because I just don't feel like I've gained any muscle. Anybody else have this kind of result or know what is going on here? Thanks [This message has been edited by MonsterQuest (edited November 08, 2000).] ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Very strange... Most people's downfall on DNP is their diet... It doesn't matter if you eat clean or not... DNP has no efect on a low carb diet... Carbs are what brings your body temp up... Body temp is the main pathway that DNP works through.... You have to be a smart eater... Before your cardio sessions, carb up, before you workout carb up, and before you go to bed carb up b/c most of your fat burning is during sleep... One thing you must do is get your carbs and start low then gradually build them up... Get your essential fats as well It is not the rebound effect as you are not on any other drugs, that occurs when you follow DNP with a cycle... I have heard from a few that DNP weight loss happens alot post cycle... So i will be interested to see what happens the next few days... Dont lose all your hope... Did you lose any bodyfat at all? Do you look leaner? Scales arent always the deciding factor. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Hey Bro I was just thinking about the DNP.... Lately there have been mixed results with DNP... I think i might have figured it out... The DNP failures seem to have been taking it at 7-9 days... I dont think that is long enough... Most of the cycles i have seen with effects of 10-15lbs of fat loss is on 14-20 day cycles... I am on day 3 right now, and felling really hot... I am doing 14 days, first 3 at 600mg next 11 at 400mg... I'll let you know what happens ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Rugby I think my lingo is a little rusty. When I said I ate clean, I meant that I maintained a stable diet and never caved in to the carb cravings. My diet consisted of approximately 30% protein, 45% carbs, and 25% fat. My caloric intake was about 5% over maintenance. I never carbed up at any specific time as you suggested, but I did keep my carbs high enough to keep my body temp up. Whenever the sweating slowed down or I felt cool I would take in some carbs. According to skin fold, my bodyfat is basically the same as it was before I started. I must say that I am not experienced with the skin fold so it is probably not very accurate. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

If you got your carbs, and did your cardio... My theory must be right... I really believe there is a 2 week minimum to get your results ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Rugby Maybe youre right. Only problem is that I dont know if want to stay on for 2 weeks. I dont think DNP is all that bad as far as sides go. I always feel pretty good on it. The problem is sweating in public. It gets old when people ask you if youre sick every 10 minutes. Earlier this week it was somewhat cool considering where I live (Texas) and I was sweating my ass off. Everyone thought that something was seriously wrong with me. Anyway, thanks for the help. Keep the board posted on your cycle. Im sure others are interested as well. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

"DNP has no efect on a low carb diet... Carbs are what brings your body temp up... Body temp is the main pathway that DNP works through...." By what reasoning do you maintain that carbs are the source of weight loss for DNP? It should not matter if one ate only mayonnaise or only sweet tarts, DNP acts through mitochondrial uncoupling. When the body can't get ATP produced it will increase the release and oxidation of fatty acids and glucose. I have heard many state that they do better on a lower carb diet with DNP. The hot feeling is not the goal of DNP, that may simply be vasoconstriction. ![]() ![]() ![]()

i'm on day 10 and have seen no results, take more of you dosage in the evening so most of your sweating is at night. i say this because if you're in a cold climate and your sweating outside you could get sick as a dog i can tolerate the sweating at night, i don't experience the very hot feeling cause I'm hot all the time anyways. I must be use to it good luck and skill ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I read most places that one should avoid low carb diets on DNP. I personally lost aprox. 10 pounds on my first cycle eating a 40/60 protein/carb. diet. except for meals surrounding workouts I carbed up with 25/75 protein/carb meals. Besides I didn't get much carb cravings, but I felt hot as hell. I only did cardio the first two days. (my cycle was 8 days long). My most important advice while on DNP, allways start with low doses when beginning a cycle, even though that in your last cycle you might have tollerated a high dosage. And try as much as possible to divide the doses out through the day. I learned this the hard way. take care all, Mike H / A.K.A. MICHLDAV ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

cockdezl-the hot feeling you get from using DNP would probably be vasodialation instead of vasoconstriction. Vasodialation of the vessels near the surface of the skin is one of the bodies mechanisms in which it releases excessive heat. Never thought of that reason for getting hot when on DNP, but it may be completely wrong too. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
