THIS WOULD FIGURE...

I started my cycle mon. I have been clean for about 2 months roughly, great cycle, very excited, then last Thurs. I wake up with this cough, sneezing, you know the deal...

Well of course Im not letting a damn cold stop me from training, so I shrugged it off. Fast forward to Mon.
Chest day....yippeee.....first injection...dropped 2 abombs...feeling good..carbed up...heavy decline fly's....<grind>, <grind>, ouch!..what the fuck was that???!!!..POP!!!....OWWWWWWEEEE FUCK!!!!!

Then it dawns on me...the ugly green monster that put me on the shelf for quite a long time last year, has come back to haunt me.

Fortunately I was only 1 injection and 4 abombs into it...WCP will be watchin from the sideline for awhile my brothers..very depressed about this...but its the nature of the beast I suppose...

Ok, Im done ranting now..I feel better..

When Im in charge...all BB's will be fitted with stainless steel rotator cuffs. Next election year, Im running, and thats my platform..

Sure they are torn????

Maybe do some rotator exercises to help speed up recovery time. Just a suggestion, I know how that disables anyone. Can't do anything at all. Hard to breathe without your shoulder hurting.

Take care

Of course I warmed up properly...that and stretching is something I take very seriously since this last happened.

I dont think its a tear...but moving my shoulder around too much right now is out of the question...I am glad to say that it feels no where near as painful as last time.

I had repeated problems like this for years with my right shoulder. Finally got it operated and pinned. The down time was a bitch, but in the long run I was missing more time nursing the damn thing - baby weights/high reps, layoffs.... now its like bionic. Never a twinge in it.

WCP:

Really sorry to hear about your injury, bro. You're a good and helpful brother. Rest up, don't push it. You have your whole life to grow.

In the meantime, you don't want all that gear to sit there haunting you, do ya? Lemme keep it for you, man. That way, it won't sit there and prey on your mind.

That sucks bro. I know how you feel though. I dislocated a rib in my back right at the end of my last cycle. I've pretty much lost everything I gained, but oh well. Can't really dwell on it. We'll just have to plot the comeback!

Damn, sorry to hear about the shoulder injury, bro. Hope everything heals up well. I figure you probably already know what to do as far as recoup, so I won't fill your ears with the same rhetorical info. Speedy recovery, my brother!!!

Well on a positive note, after a nights worth of ice packs and heating pads, I am happy to say that my shoulder is much more mobile than before, which in turn is much, much more than I could do last time I messed it up.

I will take myself out of the game for the next 2 weeks to see how it goes...thanx for the support bro's, staying out of the gym is like someone not letting you go home...very depressing.

Peace,

I read about some new stuff the other day that was clinicly proven to speed the healing of cartilage and it noted the rotator in particular. DAMN I can not remeber where I read it or what it is. I am read crap all the time, this sucks. I know a great deal of those kind of things are sales pitches, but they never gave a co name it was just telling about the drug that promoted the growth/repair. Damn man I'm sorry I just can not remember right now.

Not that you need advice, but for others on the come back trail, you really do need to take the first month slow. Don't even contemplate heavy sets to failure. Your muscles may remember what you used to do, but I doubt your joints and ligaments will. This is coming from a man who is only now starting to get back into the heavy groove after one fucked up year as well... IronMike

that sucks. I blew my shoulder out playing college ball and our strength coach gave me one of those "shoulder horns" to help me rehab the rotator. those silly ass looking things really do work, could be an idea to at least speed things up a little. late

Wow, wcp, I feel for you. I sort of know how you feel. One thing is for sure, since I fucked up ligaments in my elbow, because my stupid assed partner wasn't listening to me and added 5 lbs on one more side of the bar on my last set of skull breakers or nose breakers. (It's a tricep exerise). Anyway, I screwed up my damn ligaments one of my arms. This happened 3 or 4 years ago. It was my fault too, I should have checked, but I am paying for it. Since that, I learned, from what I learned from reading about Bruce Lee, (having strong ligaments and joints are very important) There are exercises, a person can do to strengthen the joints and ligaments. I do a lot of calisthenics, I think it helps. You can do some research and find out more about exercises that strengthen and target ligaments and joints.

As my father would say, "once you screw it up, it's never the same no matter what." I think it's the truth because one day, I know I have to get surgery on my elbows, and even then I know it won't be the same. I dislocated my wrist, and they put it back in place the best they could, but it's not the same as it was before I got injuired. SO AT ALL COSTS AVOID THE INJURY IN THE FIRST PLACE.

Sorry for the babble, I hope it helps a little bit.

That sux. I think I would take it as sign
that it's time to improve quads and hammys.
I'd throw in lower back, abs and calves.
Maybe even neck and forearms. I think I
could stay busy while resting a rotator cuff.
