Hey bros, I just finished my first cycle, 8 weeks, 500 sus & 300 deca. Proviron and clomid throughout. Now the question. For the last 3 or 4 weeks, I've been getting extremely flushed and red in the upper chest, neck, and face. It doesn't happen all the time, or even every day, but when it happens it looks really strange. I get a very warm feeling along with it. I have had my blood pressure checked, even during the events, but blood pressure is normal.

From what I've read here on the board, this may be normal. But I want to get some current opinions. I did a search, but the results were inconclusive. I have discussed this with some bros privately, at least one of whom is having the same thing.

So, is this normal or what?

By the way, results of the cycle so far are great. My weight went from 170 to 192, my chest is up a little over 2", upper arms up about 1", thighs up 2". My waist is only up about 1.5". We'll see how much of this sticks. And thanks to all you bros for the help in getting me into this first cycle, and in putting it together. Cycle #2 is coming up this spring.

Thanks again, bros.

I've been getting it from day 1 of the same cycle. I just started to tan so I can't see it. My BP is good to go as well. I wouldn't worry about it too much. LAter, Green

Bros:

I've been using a low dose of testosterone cypionate and deca durabolin (200mg/week each), along with 20mg/day Nolvadex, for the past 18 days. This is my first experience with gear. Yesterday, I was sitting around the house and had a feeling of very intense heat that seemed especially intense in my face and scalp, lasted for an hour or two, then went away. I don't think I turned red, but the feeling of heat was quite remarkable.

I really wish one of the mods or vets would jump in here and explain this. Is this a side effect of the testosterone, of the anti-estrogen agent, both? One of you knowledgable vets, give us some help!

It can have to do with a ton of things, your metabolism speeding up, high bp, what you've been eating, i know for sure when i'm on as soon as i eat my body heats up like a furnace, if someone touches me and i start eating they can feel me heating up. Personally I like it, but i can't say exactly what's causing it in you.

maybe your just embarrassed ....
J/K ....
the same thing happens to me , i just figured it was the androgens hitting my system ... i dont think its anything to worry about unless your itching and having a hard time breathing (then it can be a symptom of anaphalaxis )

At least six people have commented on my "sunburned" face and scalp since I went on 500mg. of Primoteston/week. Its been raining and is snowing right now, so the "sunburn" may seem increasingly odd.

anaphalaxis would start right after you inject it right? Not 8 days after starting right? I have this little sust flu and reading the symtoms of this shit sounds scary. Anyone know if it would take a week or so to onset or right after taking a shot? Thanks, Green

Info I found on anaphalaxis:

Anaphalaxis

When someone is exposed to an allergen, the body reacts by producing antibodies that produce symptoms like runny nose, itchy eyes, hives, and other reactions. (Find out more about allergies by reading What is Allergy?) Anaphylaxis is a severe allergic reaction. In some instances, allergies can be fatal when anaphylaxis occurs. Symptoms that may signal the onset of anaphylaxis include:

Flushing
Swelling of the lips, throat, tongue, hands, and/or feet
Upper-respiratory problems, including difficulty breathing, wheezing, shortness of breath, hoarseness, and coughing.
Nausea and/or vomiting
Abdominal cramps
Sense of impending doom and/or loss of consciousness.
Anaphylaxis can affect various organ systems including the skin, respiratory, cardiovascular, eyes, uterus, and bladder. It can be mistaken for other reactions such as hyperventilation, anxiety, intoxication, or low blood sugar.

What Causes Anaphylaxis?

Drugs are the leading cause of anaphylaxis, the major ones being antibiotics, seizure medicines, and muscle relaxants. Food and food additives can also cause anaphylaxis, the most common causes being milk, eggs, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, and sulfites. Stinging insects can also cause anaphylaxis.

How Do I Treat Anaphylaxis?

Anaphylaxis is a medical emergency. Epinephrine (adrenalin) is usually given immediately and other medications such as antihistamines and steroids may be administered. The sooner the reaction is treated, the less severe it will be. Once epinephrine is administered, you must seek further medical assistance as the effects of the adrenalin may begin to wear off after 10 to 20 minutes.

How Can I Prevent Anaphylaxis?

Avoidance of the allergen is the best prevention. Unfortunately, with bees flying around, additives in food, and labels that are not always clear, anaphylaxis may occur. If a severe reaction occurs, be sure to seek treatment in order to be prepared in case you are again exposed. Those who know their life-threatening allergies should wear a Medic-Alert bracelet and should know how to administer an epinephrine or adrenaline kit and carry one at all times.

If your child could suffer from anaphylaxis, use our Emergency Treatment for Allergic Reactions sheet to prepare his or her school, babysitter, and others for an emergency.

high androgens = water retention = reved up protein synthesis and metabolism = flushing.

The moral?

It doesn't matter whether you are a lion or a gazelle, when the sun comes up - you had better be running.

ROSACEA IS USUALLY JUST IN THE FACE, I HAVE IT... YOU CANNOT CONTROL BLOOD FLOW SO YOU GET ALL RED BUT NOT FLUSHED... WHEN YOU SAY FLUSHED I AM THINKING YOU GET AN ITCHY WARM SENSATION... ANNOYING FEELING.. I GET THAT SAME FEELING WHEN I AM WEARING A SWEATSHIRT, RIGHT AT THE BEGINNING OF TRAINING... ARE YOU TAKING REFORVIT? OR ANYTHING HIGH IN B VITAMINS? ANYWAY, MY POINT IS, ITS NOT ROSACEA

It's not rosacea, for sure. It's all over my upper chest, neck, and face. Very warm (hot) feeling, along with some slight discomfort. Lasts for several hours usually. I've done some more research, and am leaning toward the high androgens as being the culprit. Since my cycle is over, the symptoms should slowly dissipate. We'll see.

Thanks to all for their input.
