Ever wonder that whenever the subject of roids come up it inevitably gravitates to those nations in the former Soviet block? Didn't seem people, especially, Americans, had much interest in the roid culture 'til it started to impinge on the number of gold medals our boys and gals were bring'n home from The Games. Let's face it, the Soviets beat us at our own game and ,if that wasn't enough, they were doing it using the pharms we produced. Seems to me at that point, the US could have gone one of two ways, either to play the game or blow the whistle. Obviously, we chose not to follow the ol' adage if you can't beat 'em join 'em, consequently the powers that be dicided that this evil (here I go again) from the dark empire (oh, boy) had to be eradicated. The solution? Simple. Ban the use of steriods in international competition. Brilliant! And so began the great conspiracy to debase this wonder drug as a threat to democracy and the American way, much of the same ol' song 'n' dance they were playing when they decided to go after pot. So, the question is, why are we still demonizing (not again) a drug that, over the years has consistently proven its worth in the treatment of various illness? Why are we still angry with Vietnam? That's easy, it's because we lost! Let's face it, Americans hate to lose. That's the bottom line. Whaddaya ya think? Think I've got a case?

You are closer to the truth than many people will admit.

I will save bandwidth and keep my energy focused on my research that will finally help gear become more acceptable.

You sure got a plausible case.

Watch out for the CIA at your door...or someone trying to discount your theory through ridicule.

Everybody needs to lift the wool from their eyes and see the light.

BTW- Badkins, Rand sounds very Republican to me, except for not believing in the supernatural.

of course we dont like to loose.the roman empire did'nt last two thousand years because they did'nt mind takeing an ass whipping once in a while.for two thousand years the roman people lived better than any one else at the time much as we do today.we live free, cheap, fat and healthy compared to the rest of the peseants on the planet.we do tend to be ruthless i.e. berlin.nagasaki.hiroshima.but we have not had to live through a war here.

Hey, Skip, didn't mean to make light of the sacrifices a lot of young, and not so young, men made to a cause that was less than worthy
of their ideals of freedom and self rule, bro. Was try'n to make the point that Americans hate to lose. I know you weren't flamin' me, bud and I appreciate your views on a war we should never have been involved in.
Yo! and Bad, 'fraid I'm not up on Rand, bro but I'll be sure to check her out next visit to the book store, bro. Thanks.
