Valium is a hard drug to kick. Detox will keep you 5 days for alcohol, but they'll keep you minimum 10 days for V's. Don't fuck around, ween yourself SLOWLY off those fuckers.

Slowly take less...Like if your doing let's say 6 blues a day, take 5 for 3 days, then 4 for 3 days and so on. Or you can go to Detox...that's no fun...Trust me.

Have you tried prozac for the "anxiety attacks..and panic attacks"??? It makes the detox a little easier sometimes.

Being a schedule 4 drug, In my personal opinion and everyone is different, I don't think it is that addictive. Drugs like narcotics like Lortab and Lorcet, Percocet are the ones to watch out for. Valium basically relaxes you and that is about it and is a muscle relaxer, in my profession I don't see many addicts with Valium, very few, however, with the narcotics, I see many.

buff221 I don't know what your profession is but if in your training they taught you that Valium is not addictive... You missed some classes.

valium, caffiene, nicotine, alcohol..doesnt matter what sched they are. being an addict is continously using a drug despite the consequences you suffer from the drug. the best way is to taper off and lose connection with your dealer.

i use betweem 40-60 diazepam,2mg klonopin and 4-6mg xanax daily. is it a problem? only when i run out . that doesnt happen anymore.
when the dosages begin to get too high {and the neffects lessen}i taper down 60,50 40 30 20 10 5mg.
THEN START OVER.
i dont consider it abuse ,my girl could never understand why i took them until i went to a shrink and he prescribed what i been dosing myself with for years. i tossed that script in her face(in a palyful manner)
addicted?
YES

taking anti anxiety meds is bad news unless they are prescribed to you. they are addictive and can cause major problems with your sleep cycle. i have a scrip for some but i only use them if i absolutely cannot sleep. be careful bros, addiction is a hard pill to swallow.

Taking CNS depressants of the diazapam family
for anxiety and panic attacks is the first
prescribed drugs by most docs and shrinks, but they prolong and when coming down make the feelings worse. There are much better meds for these problems, believe me I know.
prozac, zolof, lithium and imiprimine HCL
to name a few. You may not even have an addiction but rather an underlying biochemical depression. Find a good doc, they are much more understaning and knowledgeable these days than they used to be. Good luck bro-it will get better.
