hey big bro, i ruptured my achillies tendon last year. alittle diff than a pec but you will have a long recovery process. however i did use some AS at low dosages and recovered very quicly the doctors were surprised at my progress. good luck with the pec. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I just had my 2nd pec tear. Stay away from gear at all costs. Drop me a line and give me more info. BPP ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

ouch, 2 tears????? Man, I had a pec tear when I was 16, I'm now 23 and I still see some difference in my pecs. People say they don't notice, but I do, it drives me ape shit sometimes. Let it completely heal before you try AS dude. You need to slowly work the muscle back up. It may take 6 months before you're back to where you were. Once the doctors give you the ok to lift heavy than I would hit the AS, but before that, the AS could make you feel like you're pec is ok when it's not, and you could reinjure it. If you're having surgery, it sounds a little bit worse than when I tore mine. Just be careful dude, and whatever you do, listen to your body at all costs. It'll be frustrating sometimes, but in the end you'll be thankful you let it heal properly. Good luck bro. ![]() ![]() ![]()

BPP, I gotta disagree. I tore my pec too, right off the fucking bone along with some mm belly damage. It has been a little over three months now and progress is slow but steady. If the idea is that the AS will give a false sense of security I can see that point somewhat, however the pain experienced will be a constant reminder that all is not well. The AS helped with my recoevery. I am convinced of it. ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

What happens to your muscles while on gear ? Hopefully they get bigger right ? Gear use has no effect on tendons. If you hit a cycle too soon, while the muscle is enlarging you are more prone to re damage a tendon. 99% of all body building injuries result from tendon damage related to AS use. I'm not saying that the guy should never use gear again but in no way shape or form should he use it as an aide for recovery. If you've ever suffered a really bad tear, you know that the hardest part in the recovery is getting full movement back to that area. WHen I had my first tear, I pulled the tendon off the bone where it meets the bicep. My pec retracted almost inline with my nipple. It took an forever to regain the 'stretch' in that pec. I hit a cycle about 6 mos after the repair and then tore it again after the cycle was over. I blame this 100% on me. I was used to a false sense of strenght while on the cycle and then when I came off, I failed to reduce my weights enough resulting in another tear 9 months after my surgery. Trying to hide the pain is crazy. My opinion is to let that sucker heal nice and slow. Also, when you tear muscle from the tendon, when the tendon is sewn back on, you actually tear the muscle more in the process. Depending on what part of the pec it is, some of the muscle fibers run in parallel to the stitches, making it highly likely to pull out if undo stress is applied. BPP ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
