take either a fingernail file or a triangle file from a hardware store. score all around the middle of the neck of the amp. then put a hand towel over the amp and carefully snap off the top. MM | ||

jesus crist, just open the damn thing.. get your hands and break it open.... FUCK the files.... yes it is kinda hard the first few times but you'll get used to it.... JUST GET IT AND BREAK IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | ||

yeah but the trick is you squeeze the tip while pushing it sideways so it shatters neatly at the line | ||

Some vials will break off easy others will not. If you've got the sort that are not breaking then use a file. I have had amps completely break in my fingers trying to snap the tops off and it isn't funny. If they don't snap easy use a nail file or junior hack saw to score arouns the slimest part of the amp. Wrap them in clean tissue as you snap to protect your hands from glass splinters. | ||
