Mike I am not sure what causes it, but my sus/deca/d-bol my lower back was very tight and painful. I got some muscle relaxers and everything was O>K>

I don't have an answer here, but I doubt it is from any kind of water retention. Reason being, the increase in water retention from other drugs (ala DECA) help with shoulder problems and other joint soreness, due to lubricating the joints (I think I said it right). However, back when I did do the OJ (God it seems forever ago), I did notice my lower back would stiffen up when doing squats to the point to where I could barely do them.

I think it may have more to do with an increase in glycogen within the muscle cells. I could be wrong, but everyone has had them "painful" sets of curls to the point in which they could barely do a 15 lb. weight because of the extreme pumps.

I notice that some people get this and some people don't. I would like to here from others regarding this topic too. Feel free to let me know if I am wrong.

One last thing, I have noticed this with d-bol the most too, although, I always did it with test on heavy bulking cycles.

BMJ, your correct saying that the water and other fluids helpm lub the joinst as in shoulders and such, However the disc of the vertabre are a little different, they are little fluid filled pads, they are most hyrated in the morning, unlike the rest of the body which de-hyrates most in the AM. The swelling of these disks put pressure on the nerves that come out from between the disk and feed the lower extremities. an excess of H2O retetion will with out a doubt affect the lumar spine!

i used to get really bad lower back pain when on d-bol specifically anything over 25-30mgs. try taking some milk thistle you will surprised how much it will help after 3 days no more pain. MM

Could taking Clomid @ 50eod throughout the cycle prevent these negative effects?

swollen clomid is used to help induce natural test in the body. basically keep your nuts working throughtout your cycel and beyond. so no clomid would not help with the sides he is experiencing. MM

MM, It was my understanding that Clomid also reduced symptoms of high estrogen levels as well as stimulate the production of natural Test. That is why I asked.
