What's up with this? I just started a low carb diet on Monday (less than 50g) that's the only thing I can attach it too. Ifeel a little bloated but not too bad. My gas has been the same. Has ANYONE had this problem going into a low carb diet? ------------------ | ||

I think i can help you on this bro. I usually try to stay pretty cut year round and i am on a low carb diet often. Anyways, the problem with this is you don't get enough fiber. To combat this, i consume high fiber spinach leaf lettuce. It comes in bags and it is full of fiber. I also eat red kidney beans. They're a very low glycemic carb and also have lots of fiber. Also, drink a lot of water, as it aids in digestion. Try this and you should be straight. Hope this helps bro. | ||

Try some Senocot herbal laxative, it works and isn't harsh on your system. You need to up your fiber, so get a book that has fiber listings in it!!! | ||

Shredder is right on with his psot. whne you go low carb you never ever get enuf fiber!! take in spinach, broccoli low carb & you'd be suprised the % of protein in broccoli! Also take in a fiber supplement such as Psyllium husk. that should do the trick! Every body should do that. What happens is you get to much junk trapped inside the intesinal lining and it slows down the aborbsion of foods & nutrients, thus slowing down your progress. So bottom line is what youre trying to do backfires on you!! Fiber..shit...fiber..shit!! | ||

I can't rmember, but are you the one that posted on here asking for sugar free drinks that tasted good? If not, oh well. Alright, do you think not shitting is good or bad?, wait until you do have to shit. The old poop will feel like it is bigger than your leg. In other words, it will hurt very bad. You will wish you had taken in some kind of FIBER, FIBER, FIBER. Go get a FIBER drink right now. Any "SUGAR FREE" fiber drink will do. I usually buy the cheap old Wal-Mart brand that is orange flavored. Have a few drinks of this a day and it will help. Don't worry about the carbs from the fiber because they are not taken in as energy and will not effect ketosis. Fiberous vegetables will help too. Actually, I am suprised you did not have the "runs" when starting out with a keto, as most people I know have had the constipation problem happen to them after a couple of weeks and not at the beginning. Also, if you are doing a CKD, hence a weekend carb-up, you should be able to do a lot of shitting from all the carbs, etc.... | ||

I am figuring this should only be a problem when one is on a low carb diet due to the lack of fiber. When on, atleast with me, I am consuming so much food (rice, potatoes, fruit, and different forms of protein ect.), that I hit the bathroom up several times a day. It seems that it is only when you restrict your carbs, which you receive your the majority of your fiber from, will one have bathroom difficulties. As mentioned, just add a fiber supplement to your diet, increase your fiber consumption through raw vegetables(spinach leaf lettuce, broccoli, ect), and drink lots of water. Case close Shredd | ||
