EOD, I hit them hard. 8-10 sets of 10-15 reps. One exercise each time, but different each time. Standing, seated, leg press calve raises. When I'm done I do standing with body weight only for 2 sets of 50. My calves were 17.5, now 19. They can handle the added stress.
