Ok Iron Brothersthis is my story that I must tell. For almost 2 years, I worked with an investor to build a franchise gym in my hometown. I did all his demographic studies, business plans and even coordinated the construction project. It took 18 months total of planning and construction before we finally opened. You see bodybuilding has been my passion for the last 16 years and I thought what a great opportunity to have a job as a General Manager of a huge gym. Well to make a long story shortafter we opened he gave his fat daughter a management position at the juice bar and made her never-lifted-a-weight-in-his-life-wanna-be husband my Asst. Manger. Within three months this self-righteous Mormon (I hope none of you are Mormon) gave him my job. In addition, to make things worse, there was really only one other good gym to speak of in my hometown (with the chalk and good squat racks) and they would not let me train there after helping the self-righteous Mormon build his gym. So for the last 6 months I have been trying the at home workouts. What a joke never enough weight to push. So finally, today, I again walked into that other gym, 20 pounds heavier and 4 inches bigger in the waist and simply asked if I could train there. They said, Sure manno hard feelingsyou can train here. I saw a lot of local Iron Brothers that I hadnt seen in 6 months, and oh manwhat a feeling, being surrounded by the brotherhood again and hearing the clanging of iron all around you! YES, MY BROTHERSAZQUADZ HAS GOT THE FEVER AGAINTIME TO GROW! Moral of the storydont go into business with a Mormon, and let bodybuilding be your hobby/passion dont make it your job. Peace Brothers! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

to bad, but from my experince they saved your ass... owning a gym is a real bitch... you have to be selling 24 hours a fuckin day. the business side of owning a club has absolutley nothing to do with your passion for fitness!! i owned a personal training biz, then bought a health club... the shit you have to put up with from a member for his $35 a month is not worth it! youre kinda lucky really! I sold and now do personal training exclusively for seniors..filthy fuckin rich seniors.. its awesome! My gross income by myself is the same as with they gym excpet i dont have a $5000 a month rent and other $$$$ payments!! i got my life back.. ya know what the worst was...when i owned the gym i got into the worst shape of my life!!! good luck in your latest endevour!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

momwarndu You're right, you put up with a lot of shit from members..that's a real shitty pat of the job. Or how about the member that blames you for his program not working when he only came to the gym twice a month and when you were jogging past McDonalds, you saw him there stuffing his fat face? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Yep... Most gym goers are weekend warriors and complainers. And McDonalds has probably killed more people than cigarettes!! Good to hear your pushing up the iron with the rest of us. Welcome back. ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]()
