Last week I trained heavy. Now I can't get to do 208 lbs on the decline press. I set it up with the shoulders equal to the bar. But now I can't do any more then 2 or 3 reps. Last week I could do 2 sets of 4 reps, then I bumped it to 218 for 3 reps. What is going on? Diet is okay, but is this from overtraining? Muscles still sore, I am thinking of taking a break for the next 3 days. Feed back would be most welcome. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Was last week the last time you trained chest?? If it was last week, I'd think that your muscles have been repaired enough to be able to go heavy again this week.. Or ya, you might just need a break for a day or two. By the way, I live in Eugene Or.. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Hey Harmonic: I agree taking some time off is what is needed. I was a little shredded before I worked out this afternoon. Now I know why I could not do it. I am more shredded and will need the rest and lots of food. I have been working out heavy lately and now comes a break. I know I will be back on top of this Yea I am in Aloha, or Beaverton more correctly. Been working out since Jan 2000. Love it and will not quit for anything. Here is my email address. Yo!!!
