I detached my distal bicep tendon about 2 months ago.I had surgery to reattach it 6 weeks ago,Anyone know what kind of recovery I can expect? I've already lost 20 lbs from not being able to train.Ant insight is appreciated.

I can't tell you how long of a recovery to expect... But you should have talked to your doc about it along with scheduling some rehab work by now!
Have you been working your legs, and abs etc. since you got injured?
Keep eating your protein though dude!
If you've been eating the same as when you were lifting, you probably should have gained some weight as fat!
It's way over time to start planning a comeback!
Good Luck.
It would make me crazy not to be able to work out my biceps.

I had a friend rip his tendon off his chest and had it reattached. He is still recovering and it has been about 10 months. I would expect about 6-9 weeks for recovery with therapy. Good Luck To You!

Any tendon injury is tough. The first time I tore my pec, I tore the tendon off the bone near the bicep and took out about 1/3 of my bicep with it. I was about 6 months into recovery and tore it again. The most important thing is to get 100% flexability back into the area. Don't push your rehab and do not over train. In my case, I had zero stamina for the pec and bicep. I would get to a point and then be done, no pushing past it. If you can, get your doc to prescribe a TENS unit, the electro stim helped me a great deal.

Good luck
