Maybe I can pick some brains here. GHIH inhibits the release of both human growth hormone (hGH) and thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) and insulin (and glucagon). It is secreted by D cells of the pancreatic islets. Pancreatic polypeptide inhibits this hormone. Now, would it be beneficial to lower GHIH in hopes that more HGH and TSH and insulin could be secreted for muscle gains? If so, HOW? Also, if it is beneficial in lowering GHIH, would it be beneficial to raise "pancreatic polypeptide" in hopes that it will have an even greater inhibition on GHIH? What drugs if any have been studied for these purposes?
Okay, I am not an expert at this stuff, so if I am way off, just flame me. I am not a physiology major, so maybe some of you experts can help. LATER MR. BMJ.

BMJ, we must be psychically linked. I was looking up studies on this just the other day. There are studies showing animals that have been given somatostatin vaccines (inhibit somatostatin activity) do grow larger. I looked up to find if there are any naturally occuring compounds that do this and I found a plant called Psychotria oleoides that blocks somatostatin acitivity, unfortunatley, this species of plants also contains alot of hallucinogens...Psychotria, go figure. I am still looking into this. I will mail you if I find anymore.

I knew cockdezl would come through on this post. I would definately like to here any info you get on this, but let me know first because my I think my e-mail might be down because I haven't checked it in awhile, and they might have cut it off. Anyway, I was looking on some of the on-line pharmacology journals and they seem to be doing a lot of research on this right now, but because I have nil amount of knowledge in pharmacology, some of the info blows my mind. I have to pull out the old physiology/chem/ and medical dictionaries to understand most of it. Sounds like interesting stuff though. I will post the journal site that I was reading once I get back from the gym, and once I find out the right name later on.
