Guys I gotta tell you this is a little personal and am not sure what is making me write this to you all. Maybe I'd just like to have someone listen and possiblely hear some respones from people that can relate.

I've been lifting since the time I've been a senior in high school. I originally started lifting because I was very thin for my height/age. At 18 years old I was a 6'0" tall, 145 pounds.. I trained for two years naturally.. I made decent gains. By the time I was 20, I had made it up to about 160 pounds by using HMB and creatine. When I turned 21 I got into the NYC club scene, I started getting into a lot of drugs, especially Ecstasy - After taking it, it made me not want to eat for at least a day. My gains withered away, I winded up dropping back down to 145 pounds by the time I was 21 1/2. Friends told me I looked like shit.. When I was in that scene I encountered a good sauce connection.. Before the summer I starting taking my first cycle - Russian Dbal/Sustanon. I made great gains - Went up to almost 180 pounds - after coming off ending up keeping on 170 of it.. A year went by which brings us up to this past summer.. I started taking my second cycle - again russian dbol, EQ, Deca, Test Ethanate. I went ending up getting to almost 195 pounds. Now two months after coming off my shit, I'm 185 strong. See thing is I've come to the conclusion by reading Dexters post about the fake dbol that I was taking some bunk shit.. looked very real but wasn't. Nonetheless, my scenario is this. I don't feel like training anymore. I come home from work, I don't even want to go to the gym. I've experienced this before, but never to this degree. I feel so burnt on lifting. I use to really enjoy it, but now I don't know what the hell I like. I go to the gym, I feel like leaving 20 minutes after I get there. My lifting partner from the summer bailed on me, now I have no spotter anymore. It just sucks. I'd like to know from you guys, what the hell you do to keep you motivated to go to the gym. I think the reason I first started really lifting hard was because I wanted to look good to get the woman. I'm 23 now, I don't seem to have any problems with that. I love the attention, I gotta tell yall. I don't know, am I crazy guys? I'm kinda worried in a way, I'm not too much involved in the NYC club scene anymore, my sauce connection is pretty much gone, and I don't want to get thin again.. I don't know.. This is some pretty deep shit..

I just gotta tell ya, quit cryin and lift. Either you want to lift or you dont. Sounds like you dont to me. I'm not trying to burn you or anything. But what did you want to hear? All I am saying is when I hear someone say they dont want to lift because they dont have a spot or their connection is gone, it sounds like they just got lazy.

This might not be what you are looking for but GO LIFT!

I used to have sorta the same problem. I would get off work and just say 'fuck it' and skip the gym. Now I've got the mentality that I've got to go no matter what. I don't even question myself, no exceptions. I sorta look at it like going to pick up a paycheck, I wouldn't skip that. It just takes a little while longer to cash in.

I go through short streaks where I just don't want to work out at all, but mostly I'm going nuts if I can't make it to the gym cuz of work! Right now I'd kill to be able to work out, but I just had shoulder surgery and will be out of action for a minimum 3 month and I'm going nuts!!!

This is my 2 cents, take it or leave it.

You should be able to count your priorities/goals on ONE HAND (five fingers, if the analogy is foggy...). If you've got more than that, each will suffer. There are only 24 hours in a day, and that ain't much! If staying in shape/being HEALTHY, feeling/looking good, etc., is not a major goal of your's, then it's obvious why you have no motivation. If it is a goal of your's, then SUCK IT UP, get p*ssed off about it, then start back up like YOU NEVER MISSED A BEAT. I hope, for your sake, that you take this as truth and get back on track! Best of luck, bro, drop me an e-mail if you want/need any other advice, etc.

Look, are you a man or a mouse?
We ALL have bad times when we feel shitty and can't be bothered training. The difference between a winner and a loser is if you stick at it no matter what or quit. Or even worse tormenting yourself by training half hartedly and not in a routine.
Yeah sometimes you need a short break but you've gotta be disciplined bro if you wanna make it. You said you don't do the club scene much now, but you still do it. Nobody said being a bodybuilder is easy, so make a decision. You gotta make sacrifices if you wanna succeed.

Good luck bro, I hope you make the right choice.

Bro, you sound a little depressed. I'd check into that. It may not be your fault that you
lack motivation. Badkins says some good things. Have a purpose and a goals-smaller ones to start-and then just FOCUS. A wandering mind leads to lethargy. Get up and
get into the gym. Find a new partner. Find yourself in the iron. Just get there.

If you can't find a partner then put on headphones and go in the gym to kick some ass. Screw the world. It is your time in there so make it count. If you are tired and need a break from the gym well then do something else. Ride a bike or something. Develop other muscles further while still doing something active. Hell join another gym. If these do not work and still not motivated then one day I may walk by and bust a pose on you and you'll see my fucked up compact muscled up physique and say to youself DAMN I wish I had that-then you'll go back to the gym.LOL well hope this helped

Hey there,
I am from the Jersey shore and have also been caught up in the NYC Club scene and Shore Club scene. I have seen it all and have been through alot. It is so easy to get caught up in and stop taking your training seriously. However, I always enjoy being jacked in a club, especially taking my shirt off while rolling my face off and listening to Sasha & Digweed or PAul VAnDyke!!! You can still maintain the club scene and use that as an excuse to GEt Big and impress the women. Take it easy on the pills, if you do take it, force feed yourself the next day! That is how I do it. I have cut back on the rolls, but stuill enjoy the scene. Good luck and stay posiitive! Where are you from in Jersey?

Me its the complete opposite. I can't stay away from the gym...

What I would do if I were you is take a week off from the gym. If you are tired or overtraining this will help.

If after a week you are not burning to go back either go see a doctor about depression or stop lifting because obviously its not for you...

Good Luck!!!

I've got completely the opposite opinion. If you're really burnt (and not just being lazy) then take a month off! Let your mind rest, let your joints heal, let your body recouperate while you take a breather. Come back in a month and hit it again. Guaranteed
you'll be alot more fired up about the iron than you are now.

Just my $.02

Sounds to me like a little post cycle depression which is common...you've heard of PMS, this is PCD. If you don't want to go on another cyle then hit a good eca stack to get your energy levels back up. It will pass.

Time off is good too, just don't take tooooo much time.

i think everyone probably goes thru it at one time or another. i am a full time student and maintain a 4.0, work 4 nights a week and train 4 days. when i am in my routine my life goes very smoothly but when i am not in my routine i get lazy cause i can always do it later. just dont forget where you came from! freshman year in high school i was 5' 100 lbs and got my ass kicked and chased around school. now, to say the least i dont have to worry about those things. constantly strive to improve your temple but like someone said it has to be for you, not the hoes or anyone else. just my .02

good luck

Could it be "crashing"??? I fell the same way after a cycle. The way I deal with it is just to get in the gym and try to keep ALL the gains from my previous cycle. I know that seems imposible to do (keep the gains) but it helps me most of the time. JUST DO IT............... "B"

I don't know guys.. I really do thank you for all the input. I'm not quite sure what the problem is: Maybe I have been lifting for the wrong reasons. Maybe it's a bit of post cycle depression, or maybe it's a bit of both. I love being strong and looking at myself in the mirror and feeling good.. I love compliments, I think everyone does. I guess I've decided that in this upcoming week I am going to first try a change of my lifting routine.. maybe for the winter months actually cut down on the time I spend in the gym - from 5 days to 3. I invested in a nice ass portable cd player to bring along with me. I'm going to try and find a new lifting partner. If those things don't start to work within a month I guess I may even start looking around for a new gym to go to - my friend sugguested that a change of scenary maybe just what I need. I am thinking that I may even need to set some new goals - at the completion of my next cycle I was thinking I'd like to weight in at somewhere around 215.

I get to hit the clubs in NYC tonight, first World, then off to Sound Factory. Maybe I'll take my shirt off tonight and see how I feel about my build versus some of that other guys that will be there - hopefully I'll feel puny, then maybe I'll GET MY ASS BACK INTO THE GYM!!

maybe you need to change your training ways.
Use lighter weights, higher reps, or do less sets. Don't come out of the gym all wiped out, not at this stage that you are in.
Try to find a way so you will like to go to the gym again and then hit the weights harder.
Maybe you need a check up ? Then you will now what is wrong with you. If nothing then it's a mental thing.

I'm pretty much in the same boat as you, but maybe not as dramatic. I pop a roll or two on the weekends, sometimes every other week, but I've been partying pretty hard in college and all. With that said, ecstasy fucks up my brain for at least the first part of the week, Sunday, monday and tuesdays. It just takes extra motivation for me to get up out of bed and even more motivation to get me to the gym and work out. But once I'm there, I get into a groove and just go at it. The key is just to get there in the first place. If you still roll, you might want to try GHB. I wouldnt really recommend it since its very easy to OD on it, and its somewhat hard to find, but it gives you a relatively good sense of Euphoria and it also had good bodybuilding applications. Its really dangerous shit though if used improperly, but nothing is as good as a pocket full of beans though

1. take time off.
2. come back to the gym.
3. slap on a pair of head phones and listen to deepest hardest house their is.
4.get mad.
5. take some ripped fuel pills.
The eca stack will really help to get your motivation back trust me. Then u have to find another connection. The xtra boost from the juice will produce fast results which U NOW NEED. Hit the clubs again and enjoy the body after about 8 hard weeks of liftin.

Bro!

1- Take a week off and rest

2- Get back to training but only 3 times a week not 5

3- Take ECA 30-45min before training

4- Look at the pictures of huge monsters like Lee Priest while waiting for the ECA to kick in

5- Where a walkman to the gym with aggressive music

6- Get a training partner

YOU WILL BE FINE
