Hey everybody! I was just thinking about deca and loosing fat. To gain muscle with deca, it's very important to eat protein like crazy(approx. 1.5-2/lbBW). This is of course also important when doing sust or any other aas, It's also important when U are not doing a cycle, of course. But when U are doing deca, the calorieintake are not as important as it is when U are doing, lets say sust. Of course U have to eat a lot of food when U are on deca, but not as much as on sust. So to my question...: Do U think that It's possible to do deca only and loose fat while gaining muscle? Well I think so. For me a calorieintake of 4000cals would be a perfect bulking up intake whan on sust. If I would like to stay as I am and don't loose anything or gain anything, I would have to eat 3100cals (approx.). So If I lower my calorieintage with 400-500kcal when on deca(not changing the intake of protein(1.5-2/lbBW) ) I should be able to loose some fat while I'm gaining muscle. What do U say? I thought of maybe doing 400mg deca for 4 weeks and then 200mg for another 4 weeks. What do U say? ![]() ![]() ![]() | ||

That would not work for me - Deca only makes me retain a lot of water. I did a cut cycle of 100mg Test Prop, along with a cc of Ultragan every other day. Loved it. Gained about 8 pounds in 5 weeks, all of which I kept post cycle. Bodyfat dropped from 10% to 7.2%. ------------------ The moral? The body does not create muscle very efficiently under a caloric deficit. Extra calories+intense weight training+ample rest+AS if one so chooses= Good muscle gains. Taking deca might help you "retain" your present muscle mass while on a diet, cuz your system will be less catabolic, you might(and thats a big might) gain a couple three lbs of muscle, but you definitely arent going to get huge AND cut at the same time. Water retention IS a factor as well, deca personally makes me bloat up, esp. in the face. Figure out what you want to do. Is it build muscle? Or do you want to lose bodyfat?
