I tried only once to buy insulin at Wal_Greens, and they asked me for a prescription, so I told them I was buying it for a friend, then they wanted to know my friends name. Has anyone here had problems buying insulin? I keep being told that a store can ask you for a script, but its not a law that you really have to have one. Whats the deal???     | ||

they have to give it too you!! Anyone who asks for a script is messing with you...if you are a diabetic in need of insulin it is a life or death situation ...they know that don't let them push you around...i just walked into Genovese and bought mine...no questions asked 27.50$ | ||

It is illegal to stop you from buying insulin without a persrcipt. You will only need one for the points. Diabetis is so common that the gov't made it available for those who travel and dont want to carry it with them. Tell them you are travelling from another state if they give you any lip. You just forgot your wallet at the hotel | ||

I was told that they don't have to sell it to you. Just do what I do. Go in there with a piece of paper with humilin r and syringes written on it, say that you have to get it for your mother in law, read from the paper like you are unfamiliar with the stuff, if they ask for a script just say that she didn't give it to you. Tell them that she fell and hurt herself and is staying with you for a while and needs it. Don't act too anxious or that will tip them off. | ||

Just walk in wearing a wife beater and bandana around your head, lean over the counter and say "Hey Pops, how about running back there to that refrig and grabbing some insulin for me. And make it quick before I start losing these carbs in this finely tuned sex machine." | ||

The insulin if taken correctly will produce a enhanced conversion of your carbs which in turn will force more nutrients, etc into your muscle during the golden hour after you train. the d-Bol..if legit will produce acceptable gains but like I have always said..adding and injectable to an oral is like 2+2+8...self explanatory...injectable in the form of test. be careful with the insulin as i do not recommend it to begginners. I have just started using it after a Bachelors degree in medical technology and a Masters degree in pharmacology combined with almost 9 years of bodybuilding experience and I am NERVOUS as hell. Please be careful. | ||

Thanks for the input guys. Jay287, I've been lifting for about 8 years. I've been reading about insulin use in bodybuilding for about 2 years, but have never tried it. I'm ready now. I'm not nervous in the least bit, now. Thanks for your concern. I for sure agree that no one should be doing insulin unless you know what the hell your doing. I'm not jumping into this. Oh yeah, the one time I did try to buy, awhile back, I told them it was for a friend, and they proceeded to ask for their name, so they could look it up on the computer, I guess. I just left the store. I'll get it one way or the other now. But again, thank you guys for your input. | ||

Here is how you do it. Don't dress like a bodybuilder, just like a normal person. Don't be stressed. They ask for a script for insurance or tax purposes. When I bought it... Me: Humulin R, please Her: Do you have a script? Me: No! Her: Ok, 10ml or 3ml Me: 10ml and 30 syringes please Her: There you go, have a nice day!!! Don't freak out it's obvious. Know your shit if they ask you questions you can answer no sweat... BigPharmBoy: Insulin shock is when blood glucose is too low. You must take in simple sugars ASAP. Insulin will make it worse. Insulin is the cause of Insulin Shock... ------------------ | ||

I'm not worried about buying the insulin anymore. Thanks for everyones help. I appreciate it. Something that some of you need to understand, though. Just because a law doesn't require a prescription for something does NOT mean that a pharmacist has to sell it to you. They have every right in the world NOT to sell you something. I used to always buy humilin-R with no problems. Recently I tried to get Humalog, and couldn't. I believe that Humalog is the only one you really need a script for...Someone comment on this, I have also talked to others with this same experience. ------------------ | ||

Okay, just got back to my office. I just bought Humulin-R, no problems. WHHHOOOOOOHHH!!! Time to grow, boys. Anyway, comment on the Humalog. I've asked two pharmacists now about that, and they both told me the same thing, prescription needed. This will be my first time using insulin, and I'm very excited to get to the gym today. I hope I get the results I'm thinking I'll get. I slacked all last week on lifting, so today I'll get myself back in gear. Any newbies here, please remember, I've been lifting for quite awhile, and have gathered tons of info. on insulin use in bodybuilding, so please don't read how wonderful it is w/juice and decide to go and do it, since it is so easy to get. Always know as much as possible before you do anything....anything. Thanks alot guys for all your info. | ||
