I know that aromatase converts androstenedione into estrone (E1) and testosterone into estradiol (E2). My question is...are they the same enzyme or is there more than one type of aromatase?

From my understanding, aromatase is one enzyme. Your two estrogens are due to two different starting substrates.

Dr. Ross were dealing with two distinct enzymes. One responsible for 19-nor's the other for testosterone. The name for the former is on the tip of my tounge, damn. I have to head for class if this question hasn't been answered by then, I'll jump on it.
