Now I'm not saying pizza is good for you if you are cutting or even bulking for that matter. But does a couple of slices really hurt your diet especially if you soak up all that oil with a napkin, by the way anyone know how much saturated fat you can get off a slice by soaking it up? My guess is a few grams. Anyway girlfriend says pizza isn't that bad for you. She says you get protein in the cheese, sauce is good for you, and the bread are your carbs, fat is in the cheese. All in all a balanced meal. I'm not saying eat a pie but how about 2 slices lets say once a week? Also if given the choice between a normal fast food burger or a slice which is better for the dieter? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ||

I stay away from pizza. Haven't had a slice in years. It is one of the worst foods for you, IMO. All that cheese, dough, grease. That and fried mozzarella sticks. But a slice once in a while ain't gonna kill you I guess. D. ![]() ![]() ![]() | ||

If you are bulking up pizza is great. Think about all the calories, protein, carbs that are in it. During my bulking cycles I would eat a large pizza once or twice a week. I wont touch the stuff while cutting up!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ||

pizza from restuarants is terrible for you. the bread is white bread which = crap. the cheese is high fat shit which is crap. the sauce is healthy, i will say that. if you want a healthy pizza, make it yourself. i made one that tasted pretty damn good and had almost no fat. the crust was wheat flour, skim milk, and sucralose. i used healthy choice cheese (1g fat and actually melts!!) and sauce. added some 4% fat beef for the topping. honestly its good, try it sometime. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ||

Pizza is NOT all that bad. What other food incorporates all 4 food groups into one? Just stay away from greasy pizza or pizza with fattening toppings and you'll be fine! To make a pizza without fat is to have sex without blowing your load. WHY?? A no fat diet is garbage and about as anabolic as a chalice of regurgitated chewing tobacco. i agree that low fat while clean is a bad idea, but when on the juice many of the reasons for eating fat are taken care of. anyway thats my theory. ill let you guys know how my <10% fat 6500 calorie diet works. but im surprised with some of these answers. saturated fat can cause insulin resistence and is also much more likely to be stored as fat than either mono or polyunsaturated fats. white bread has a very high GI and is totally devoid of nutritional value (empty calories). take a look at the back of some standard mozeralla (not reduced fat) when your at the grocery store. it ain't pretty. I read in the new issue of Flex that Jeff Long, NPC National Middleweight Champion, stated that pizza was "one of the best foods to eat if you're young because it provides your body with protein and complex carbs". He further went on to say that "young people have a faster metabolism and burnoff excess calories, so as long as they have a butt-kicking program and are getting enough sleep, they can afford to eat pizza. Would you pussies quit being so afraid of food!!! When I bulk I can down 2 pizzas a weekend...as long as I get everything else I need in, then I eat what I want, when I want, well with the exception of nailing a large supreme right before bed. If you diet low enough, a little extra fat wont show much, nor affect you that much. Sorry but I love to eat, and I eat, and when I eat I grow!!!
