Hey guys do any of you that live in your dorms have stuff sent to you through your campus mail boxes. I had some stuff sent already and for right now nothing has come up but i am waiting till i get some others on the issue before i have the rest sent to the campus mail; is the mail coming in looked through or anything to anyones knowledge any feedback would help thanks Big     | ||

I would go with an off campus box, boys. I'm not in college, but if god forbid you do get snagged, you don't want to put you education into the mix for a few bucks a month this can be avoided. | ||

Fortunately, I live off campus in a condo, but my source actually lived in a dorm last year and didn't have any trouble with tons of shipments--but it's your risk, knock on wood--Ipersonally would get a PO Box if I lived on-campus!! Where do you go?? I'm at Texas A&M! ------------------ | ||

Buddy go to Mailboxes Etc or someplace like that. If they catch you doing it in campus mail----in addition to the legal problems you would have had anyway, you'l be kicked out of the dorms, expelled & there might even be addition criminal charges for having stuff on the school campus----its not worth it. | ||

At my college, students ran each mail room in each dorm. Try to become friends with one of those guys. I did it with columbia house aqnd got like 200 new cds. Its alittle different with gear, but a friend in the mailroom wont hurt | ||

I used to get everything sent to me through my campus post office. I had stuff sent from overseas and domestic and never had a problem. However, they recently started having everyone sign for every package that comes in so I decided to find a new place to have it shipped. I really don't feel like being kicked out of school right before I graduate. | ||

When I was younger, more concerned about money, and less ethical I would have packages sent right to the dorm. No problems. That was years ago. Unless the postal service screens those packages more often (unlikely)its not like the campus mail service will investigate. Domestic is always less problematic than international. Hope it helps. Hey Badkins21, I just graduated from A&M last may!! Man, do I miss those Freebirds burritos. Drop me a line and keep me updated about the A&M scene. Anyways, I knew a guy who goy stuff all the time in the on-campus P.O. Box...maybe he was just lucky? | ||

the only problem with getting sent to a dorm is you have to have your real name on it. at least, thats how it works at my school.

Just a theory, but at your dorm packages probably come through quite a bit in the form of care packages from parents, girlfriends etc.. I would guess that if your source is domestic the post office or the school will not give these packages a second look. I would get them sent to you. But you have to weigh the risks for yourself. | ||

I dont know about everyone else...but at my school you can still get in trouble with the university for a criminal offense even if it occurs off campus. Say for instance you get busted by the local police for underage drinking at a bar...then the university is notified by the local police...and you get in trouble with the university too. Same goes for any other crime committed in town...so if you get busted by receiving gear in the dorm...or at an off campus box....you still may face the same sanctions in regards to your education. Just familiarize yourself with your school's policies. If it were me, Id just send it to the dorm...punishment is the same if you get busted...and its not like campus mail people are able to search your mail. The only thing that might worry me is signing for the package in the mailroom...that might make it a little easier for the law to orchestrate a controlled delivery. Just my thoughts on the subject. As always...be careful. | ||

I had it delivered on campus once and had no problems, but it's better to be safe and go with an off campus box. | ||

so as you can see no one here has been caught so the probabilities are pretty much none to being caught. i'm in the military now a veteran as of last friday and the mail always made it through the army mail for me. good luck with everything. | ||

I have had a couple shipments sent to my college address before with no problems. But I think with my next order I am going to have the stuff went to my other address. Things went well for me! Just be cautious. |
