I have been wondering why my elbows, lower back, and forearms have been bothering me lately, and i heard that AAS could have caused this. What do you guys think? Im only in week 4 of my 12 week cycle, and although its not bothering me enough to stop training, i dont want it to happen eventually. I need some joint fuel or something. What do you guys recommend i do about this? Sorry if you think this was for another column, but it has to do with AAS, so i figured it went with this one.

Maybe over training. I would lower the number of sets, keep playing with your workouts and find a training routine that gives you the necessary pump without aggrevating your joints.

No, not the roids. Imaging yourself taking what you take now without training. No joint pain ? So it's not the roids, but your training. Getting stronger and overloading is more like it.

try taking a combination of glucosamine sulfate/chondroitin/msm....i know for a fact that this stuff works great for joints/arthritis/etc....some people dont respond well if at all to tablet forms of the supplement though...i personally use and recomend a powdered/effervescent form called synovicell by gear sports...but remember...the msm will provide some immediate relief for pain and imflammation...BUT the glucosamine and chondroitin will take a good 4-6 weeks to really start to kick in as it actually REBUILDS your joints and cartilage.
Hope this helps...good luck buddy!

Quick weight gain could be the culprit, too...I gained over 20 pounds in the first 2 weeks of my first cycle (I'm in week 4 right now) and now I know why pregnant women get swollen ankles...my lower back hurts to--JUST KEEP TRAINING AS HARD AS YOU CAN, AND YOUR BODY WILL ADAPT, HOPEFULLY!!

Yeah, you guys may be right on the overtraining part. I have gotten a lot stronger in the last week, and have used a lot more weight. Plus, i push myself more in the gym, so that probably has a lot to do with my aches. I will try to lessen the sets, and whenever i feel aches, ill stop the excercise. I hope, like you said Badkins, that it will go away the longer im on my cycle. I dont need this acheing shit!

Anadrol makes my shoulders and knees ache. No other roid does it. My doc said it might have something to do with calcium in the joints from the A bombs

I have the same problem but with my knees and ankles. They really swell up a day or two after I do a brutal leg workout. I to have gained about twenty lbs. over the last couple of months from bulking and hitting the weights extra hard. This is without AS, so I guess it might be the extra weight I've gained and the heavier weight I'm lifting. Been lifting for 4.5 years and this has only started to happen in the past couple of months.

Glucosamine and chondroiton (sp) definately semmed to have helped me in the past but stretching and adequate rest can't be beated... don't fall into a painkiller trap. Too many of my friends have fallen prey to The big "V".....Vicadin. Now, they don't eat, have withered away to nothing , have no appetitite and pop these pills like pez. BEWARE!!!!!

Yeah, Rustabolin, im going to try some of that stuff from Gearsports, and start stretching more, and see what happens. My lower back is the main problem i have now. Its like, my upper body is getting too heavy for it to handle. At least, that is the strain i get on it. I dont know, my lower back has never hurt before, and its nothing that i think is serious.....i know i havent pulled anything. I just need to wear a belt more often too i guess. Oh well....we will see what happens.
