The Deca should not affect your cholesterol.

You should just up the fresh fish in your diet.

Ther are other ways of getting the good cholesterol.

Try Chromium, Garlic and Borage oil , or Oat bran.

Yes, I am speaking about lowering the LDL (bad) and raising the HDL (good) cholesterol.

Fish is a great source of good cholesterol, but there are others too.

1.Use foods higher in
monounsaturated fats, such as
canola or olive oil. There is strong
evidence that monounsaturated fats
raise HDL levels without affecting total cholesterol. Include 1 to 2 teaspoons
of olive or canola oil with each meal.

2.Add more foods high in soluble
fiber to your diet. Soluble fiber is
found in oats; fruits such as apples,
grapes and citrus fruits; and legumes.
The soluble fiber in these foods helps
lower total cholesterol and raise HDL
levels. Try eating at least two servings
of these foods each day.

3.Add aerobic exercise, such as
walking, biking and swimming, which
helps raise HDL levels. Try to be
active for at least 30 minutes each day
for optimum benefit.

4.Stop smoking if you smoke, as
smoking not only lowers HDL levels, it
is also an independent risk factor for
heart disease.

5.Eat foods that contain
phytoestrogens such as soy
products. Tofu, tempeh, and TVP
(texturized vegetable protein) all may
help raise HDL levels. Include at least
two servings each day. A simple
method is to make a blender smoothie
using soymilk and fresh fruit each
morning.

6.Eat less trans fatty acids. Trans
fatty acids are found primarily in
deep-fat-fried foods such as french
fries and many fast foods as well as in
processed baked goods such as
cookies, crackers and cakes. Tub or
squeeze margarine contains less trans
fatty acids than stick versions.
7.Alcohol, in red or white wine or even
beer, appears to raise HDL levels. Go
easy here; the key idea remains
moderation, meaning no more than
one drink a day for women and two
drinks a day for men.

8.Niacin, one of the B vitamins, can be
used in large doses to raise HDL
levels. The amount necessary to
produce results qualifies this vitamin as
a drug, and it should be used only with
a physician's approval. Side effects can
include flushing, ulcers, high blood
sugar and liver damage.

Nice post 2thick. I'm suprised your doc suggested lethicin mike, suggests that there is something going on between his ears. You can buy soy lethicin granules at most health food stores cheaply. Not only does it improve blood lipid profiles, it also helps protect the liver from certain supplements. I take niacin (not at prescribed levels, but even 500% RDA helps a bit), and sometimes get a "niacin flush" feeling from it; makes you feel hot and makes your face red. Feels odd but so what. The best fish to eat are oily ones; salmon, mackerel, herring, sardines etc. I agree wholeheartedly with 2thick about fiber. Cut down on saturated fat (fat that is solid at room temperature) in your diet. Saturated fat has the greatest effect on cholesterol levels, lowering good cholesterol and raising bad cholesterol. Check your blood lipids again when you start cycle, because cycle can change the values (rarely for the better). A bile acid resin binder is a good choice for the BB. Aside from the unpleasant sides (black tarry stool), there is little chance of it interacting with gear. Just don't take it at the same times you take orals. Peace!
