Hey bro's i just got the word that my dad needs an operation because of his cancer. The operation has a 50/50 chance he will live. We've decided to not have the operation and wait it out. He's a strong man. You're prayers would be appreciated.     | ||

Sorry about your dad bro, I just lost my father in August to pancreatic cancer. A 50/50 chancer is better than nothing i guess. I will pray for you and your father. Cancer is a terrible thing. I wouldnt wish it on anyone. | ||

Burnboy, I am sorry to hear about your dad's illness. He and your family will definitely be in my prayers. You said the chances are 50-50, but that he is a strong man. In my opinion, that makes the chances better (more favorable) than 50-50. And to use the words of Colin Powell, former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs (Pentagon), "Optimism is a force multiplier." my dad had the same situation...went in for surgery and had his whole stomach taken out because an ulcer turned up malignant... he went to get the surgery in 1995 and he is alive and kickin'....he has changed his diet for the better <obviuosly> and has not had a problem since....hope this keeps your chin up, bro! i'm positive your dad will get through this ------------------ | ||
