I WENT TO MY DOCTOR A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO TO SEE IF HE WOULD PERSCRIBE SOME CYTOMEL(T3) BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN HAVING A HARD TIME FINDING SOME  . HE SAID HE WOULD HAVE TO GIVE ME A COUPLE OF TESTS FIRST TO SEE IF I NEEDED IT. I GOT THE TESTS BACK TODAY AND HE SAID MY THYROID IS BORDERLINE AND HE WON'T GIVE IT TO ME. I WAS ANGRY BUT WHEN I GOT UP TO LEAVE HE STARTED TO GIVE THE SPEECH. HE WENT ON HOW PEOPLE DIE EACH YEAR FROM STEROIDS AND HOW BAD THEY ARE AND I WAS GETTING SO MAD AND YOU COULD TELL HE HAD NO IDEA WHAT HE WAS TALKING ABOUT AND HE WOULD HAVE KEPT GOING ON IF HIS SECRATARY(SP) HADEN'T TOLD HIM OF HIS NEXT PATIENT. WHEN I ASKED HIM JUST BEFORE HE LEFT IF HE COULD REFER ME TO GET A SECOND OPINION HE SAID HE WOULD HAVE NO PART OF IT AND THEN LEFT. THE WHOLE REASON I WENT THERE IS BECAUSE I WANTED TO LOOSE THAT LITTLE AREA OF FAT ON THE INSIDE OF MY THIGHS AND THE LITTLE LOVE HANDLES I HAVE HAD ALL MY LIFE(I WAS A FAT KID) I HAVE LOST ALOT OF WEIGHT THROUGH DIET, CARDIO AND E/C/A NOT TO MENTION WEIGHT LIFTING BUT I DECIDED I WAS GOING TO TRY T3/CLEN CYCLE. LOOKS LIKE I WILL BE WAITING A WHILE NOW . HAVE ANY OF YOU BROS OUT THERE HAD ANY PROBLEMS SIMILAR TO THIS. SORRY THIS IS SO LONG I HAD TO VENT A LITTLE.

I've had some similar responses from many doctors I talk to. A very high percentage of docs think that prescribing anything steroid related is somewhat taboo. I can't understand how these guys can go through 4 years of med school and still all come out with the same stereotypes that the general public has. Your best bet in finding a doctor to prescribe some T3 may be to look for some of the younger docs or someone related to the sports medicine field. If your tests came back borderline, then it really is the docs call and there is nothing wrong with him prescribing it for you. My dad has had a dental practice for almost 30 years and he is legally able to prescribe medication for anything from the neck and above for anyone he feels needs it. There are times when he will prescribe migraine medication or painkillers for people he feels need it. Now there are those addicts who try to take advantage and that is why these moronic docs are so skeptical. The bottom line is that they CAN do it, they're just conforming to the stereotype and don't take the time to learn anything new. | ||

I don't understand doctors' attitudes as well. They'll prescribe an estrogen or corticosteroid at the drop of a hat, but God forbid they should prescribe something that improves your immune system, adds to bones and muscle, and improves your mood. Of course, I'm talking about gear here, not T3. You be careful with that bro. After you use it go in for another blood workup, I'll bet you will be below borderline. Peace! ------------------ | ||

here is some advice that I took once and paid off. When chosing a doctor, look at their first names closely. Why? Well you dont want an older doctor becuase for one he is set in his ways and probably has a big ego. Two, those guys know nothing about juice because they never studied new medical facts on steroids. They have old school education. You want a younger doctor is who more likely to be open and also looking for patients. Look at their first names. that sucks man, a lot of docs are very ignorant to anythign that isnt mainstream. Fuck him, it shouldnt have been too hard to get the cyto though big mustang from a source. Very few docs are knowledgable in the real world use of AS, I wish I had opne in the family. Slopain | ||

I will give you guys some inside info about doctors. They are really nerdy idiots who do nothing but study their whole lives and they know nothing more than a well educated person. The only difference between an educated person and a physician is that the physician is trained to read the medical test and allowed to prescribe the "candy of the month" to a patient. BTW-Those damn pharmaceutical reps are worse than locusts. They just don't go away. | ||

I always thought my doctor and I were pretty close until the end of my first cycle. I had no clomid and crashed hard(very depressed and lost a lot of weight). I told him the story and that I needed a natural test boost. I explained to him I could get it illegally just as easily, but thought I would just try him first. He gave me huge lecture and said that it would jsut be another....his exact words, "harsh chemical that your body doesn't need." Needless to say I got it illegally and haven't been back to him since. | ||

2Thicks right on about the pharm reps, those guys jock so hard and give tons of "samples" away. I couple months back I remember one of the people on the board was getting gyno and the doc wouldnt help out b/c he knew the guys was on steriods. What a dickhead. Slopain | ||

While I sympathize (and agree) with what y'all say about doctors, one of these years I will be one (and in my experience DO is better than MD; DOs learn more physical medicine, most MDs only know how to push what the pharmaceutical rep gives them kickbacks for). I'll diagnose all of you with pernicious anemia damnnit! Don't do clomid after cycle? Replacement therapy time! Until then though, just bear with an ignorant medical system. I have had a little gyno problem here lately, and I am out of nolvadex. So, I got the hairy idea to go to my doc and lie my ass off for some. I told him that I had the symptoms of gyno, and that I had been taking three types of andro w/no anti-estrogen. Then I told him I took a little tamoxifen and the problem ceased. Then I told him about how the symptoms resurfaced when I ran out of the drug. He sat there for a minute, and then told me all about how andro is a steroid and that it really shouldn't be legal. He also told me all about the dangers of tamoxifen. Anyway, he wound up giving me five days worth of tamoxifen. So, I guess I got lucky and picked a good doc. Then I went across town to another doc to try and get some more, but he said he would never prescribe it to a male. He told me to just stop taking the andro. He didn't have a fuckin' clue about what he was talking about. ------------------ | ||

2thick...I am a little pissed with your comment....infact I too will be a d.o. not too long in the future...and trust me ....we learn a little more than how to read a test...for instance...do you know the 16 branches of the maxillary artery...well we are held responsible for that...I will agree that some roids are good for you....but I will not prescribe roids for patients..unless they are close friends..what is in it for us...we are constantly on the edge in our profession and everyone expects soo much out of us...remember the doctor in scranton,pa that got busted...it happens and I am not about to loose a practice over giving someone a cycle...no thanks...by the way 2thick what do you do for a living....and I do respect you and what you have done for the board...but you definitely hit a nerve...Dr. atlas...where do you go... | ||

Sad thing is, if you went in as a fat piece of shit, he probably would have prescribed it to you. I hate that notion that just because someone is "healthy", they will get more side effects than an unhealthy fat piece of shit. It doesn't make sense!!! Why would someone who is healthy, suffer more sides than an unhealthy person? This is very wrong! Another thing I hate, is that I think people who have researched these drugs (I am not talking about juice), which are even advertised in any magazine off the shelf (and notice they always say "Ask your doctor if ... is right for you), they actually get offended because they feel like they can't come up with the idea themselves. They will find some alternative to the one you suggested to make themselves, and their own idea seem smarter, even though it is less effective. Why the fuck is there so much advertising if you cannot even get it from a fucking doctor? Anyway, I am gonna stop here. Sorry bro, just find a new Doc. |
