All right fellas,I've got more exciting news to report to my fellow iron brothers!Check out this article from the latest Ironman Magazine....A SUPER ANABOLIC DRUG OF THE FUTURE?.....Many studies show thatIGF-1 produced locally in excercised muscles is a primary hormonal stimulant to muscle repair and growth.Scientists in Philadelphia injected genes that increased the local expression of IGF-1 in mouse muscle, and it led to a 20 percent increase in muscle size. That effect however,PALES in comparison to the effects induced in muscle by another newly discovered hormonal substance in muscle,MECHANO GROWTH FACTOR(MGF).Similar to IGF-1,MGF is produced locally in muscle through both stretch and overload, especially the latter. It's secreted in excercised muscles to induce local repair of muscles damaged by excercise.Recent observations, however, show that under heavyloads-when people use heavy weights that cause extensive muscle damage-too much MGF is released,LEADING TO HUGE INCREASES IN MUSCLE SIZE.In a recent experiment scientists used the engineered gene injection in mice and found a 20 percent increase in muscle mass AFTER ONLY 2 WEEKS.Based on that finding, they suggest that MGF can be used as a supplement to IGF-1 and or growth hormone in treating various muscle diseases and the weakened muscles that occur with age and lack of excercise. The researchers also point out that people who continue to excercise as they age may be able to maintain an optimal output of MGF and protect existing muscle tissue.MGF is FAR MORE POTENT in that regard than either IGF-1 or growth hormone......There's a new muscle builder on the block kiddies, let's keep our eyes and ears open for when it becomes available.Exciting stuff,eh?---Huck

I read something about this too in "men's fitness" it will be cool... Why are anabolics illegal anyway... really?? if you could get them Via prescription from a doctor legally, drug comp would make $$$$$$ and side effects would be minimized... AAAAAAAAAArrrrrgh... oh well, alcohols legal I could just drink myself into the ground and die. LOL ha ha ha fuck... AS should be legal

You can take all the shit you want, but if you don't give 100% in the gym, it really isn't worth acquiring all the new future growth-promoting compounds. I mean, the thing that sets us BB gear users apart from the mainstream average Joe weight user, is that we put maximum emphasis on training, and therefore get results: we love lifting. period. In other words, no pain ,no gain. In 20-30 years we might get the aforementioned average joe, now muscular and cut due to the drugs, telling everybody that he is now a BB, and that he trained intensely for his physique, which is pure bullshitt because he can't train worth a damn. He just looks lean and muscular due to the drugs. That bros, would definately be an insult to our sport.

First off if this is true then fucking awesome. I personally think there is alot of bullshit and marketing behind that write up in the mag, also mouse have very different genes then humans do they only test this stuff on the mouse because no one cares whether they live or die. The product has all this hype about it I just hope it is not a let down like most of the supplements out there that claim to do all this stuff and do shit./

I agree with a lot of the bro's here. In the next 10-15 years, I see so many advances in medicine and longivity that people of yesteryear only thought was sciencefiction. Humna DNA code was broken down, new Muscle Building Formulas, cloning. Who knows where the advances will go from here. Lets keep our eyes open and our ears to the ground. JW

This doesn't sound fishy to you guys? Next month they will tell you that you can purchase some exclusive IRONMAN MGF-XL. It's only available to the first 100 customers for 500 dollars a bottle. I've read enough of these magazines to know better. Sounds like a Muscle Mag scam. Or maybe not...

i see everyones point who says that muscle building may become TOO easy in the future. but it all stems from jealousy. the screwed up emotion that ruins us all. you should strive to be the best you can be, too often that is mixed up with being BETTER than someone else. if some day every human looks perfect and we all are worth the equivalent of 1 billion dollars, i'm all for it. sure, it makes me sick to see the people too lazy to do something with themselves now but who cares bout the others as long as you be all you can be.

Cool stuff! May I have some MGF, and SUPERSIZE that order please! ------------------
Amateur Bodybuilder Posts: 114 |
that would be great but i just thought of something. If you increased your mass by 20% in 2 weeks think of the extra cardiac load you would have to provide. without slowly building up your cardiac tollerance it would be like gaining a shit load of fat and straining your heart, except in this case you would look like a god!

Huck you beat me to it!!!!! Yehhh MO/FO About a week ago a friend was reading that Ironman and I told him that shit is crap, but since I had never read a BB mag before I wanted to check it out. So, I read it and I also came across that same article about MGF. Well yesterday, I did my research, I was going to talk to E2 about it but I could not get a hold of him on ICQ. MGF is legit bro's! Huck why did you have to advertise such sensitive info, now everyone on this board is going to big huge! hehe Check out this link!!!!!!!!!!!! ------------------

if it causes overloading does that mean you could get results from not working out? I ope it doesnt cost like gh ------------------
Guru Posts: 2044 |
Wow! But can you imagine how much it will cost?? IGF-1 costs an arm and a leg (practically) so this stuff has got to be through the roof. Sounds extremely intriguing though.
Guru Posts: 2044 |
Burnboy, if it is anything like IGF-1 expect to pay about a grand for a few weeks worth. But then again, if it increased muscle size 20% in two weeks, it might be worth the price.

I smell bullshit. A magazine wouldn't publish info like that unless they could profit off it. MuscleMag International used to (and still does) do that shit all the time. Take for example the November 1998 issue, No. 197, Were the whole Zulfuck article was him hyping up saying how safe, great and effective Deca is. Wow! What do ya know?! 18 pages later there is a very comprehensive, understandable article (written by Zulak I might add) teaching the average Joe how Nortesten mimics the properties of Deca! I would be very skepticle of this info. There may just be a supplement add in the same mag next month saying XXXX mimics MGF. If there was something that big in the medical community, I doubt Ironman would have any or the exclusive info on it. I don't mean to rain on anyones parade and thanks for letting us know Huck. ------------------

If you took GDF-8 aka myostatin you would waste away! GDF-8 inhibits muscle growth, so you need something that inhibits the GDF-8 to get huge! I just don't want anyone to be injecting that shit! ------------------
