My roomate here got a message from Western Union for me to call them about a transaction. I made it like an hour ago over the internet. Is anything up? I don't think there is, but that just rattled me. I have the number right here and am going to call soon, just wanted to know what you all thought. I read on another board that this overseas guy (who has US remailers) that I'm buying from is being 'flagged' by WU. Some guy on I think renegade said that at a WU place they asked him "what he was getting" and told him that the person he was sending money to was "allegedly selling illegal products". I don't know what to think. Would they be calling with something like that? What do you all think? thanks.... maybe this is just nothing,, someone just help me out here     | ||

I wish I could call. Right now I'm in a dillemna. I read on another board that this guy, who I wish I could name but wont, does not accpet WU. But I just WUed a guy. And I went back and some of the older emails I got from him are different addresses than the new ones. And more stuff. Anyway I am getting really paranoid as to if I just sent my momey to a scammer posing as this guy. I don't know,,, I'm dying here,,, first the WU call then this... damn.... | ||

OK, for everyone on credit card WU paymenys done online they always call the number the credit card is to to verify its the one you regged with WU. I used a phony one that was the problem, I sweet talked her kinda and whatnot and she said no problem. So no problem. But I am still antsy on if I sent the WU to the right guy. Cause like I said, I just read he doesn't excpept WU and I just sent someone WU money and upon closer examination some email addresses didnt match up, long story,,, everything may be cool or I am gettin scammed by someone who has tricked me into thinking they are really someone else... but i dont know,, i may be wrong, i am really paranoid, i need to just get some sleep.... | ||

Just as px1138 said sometimes they verify if you use a credit card, I have had that happen several times with no problem. | ||

First, I would stop payment until I got it sorted out. Next, e-mail the guy at the old addy you have and ask him if he changed to a new one. If he verifies it your ok and you can re-send the $$$ If he says no........ well, you know the rest. Just my opinion. ------------------ | ||

Yeah, they makes so many fuckin errors and typos, then you have to deal with the suspiscious min. wage earners at the money mart or grocery store. Then you show them, "look dick I lost my wallet 2 days ago so my college buddy sent some money to me with a test question CUZ WESTERN UNION doesnt need ID if theres a test question" Im not sure what is so difficult about it but that shit works only like 40% of the time, all others they fudge up. Plus it takes a while to do the damn transaction. This was a rant. Slopain |
