In the next couple of weeks I am going under the knife to repair a torn rotator cuff. The doc says it will be 6 months before I can do any serious lifting again. Has anyone here had this type of surgery, and what has been your experience with recovery? I'm hoping for only about four months. Is this to agressive? Lets hear from one and all. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Yep, I underwent surgery in August for a torn cuff...and I was back in action about 2 weeks ago. It still hurts on certain movements of course (I'm taking lots of anti-inflammatories), but I'm just happy to be back in the gym. I think 4 months is pretty reasonable. Avoid products like oxymetholone and test for the moment. If you feel the need to cycle, stick with the mild anabolics like nandrolone and primo. Believe it or not, you will not lose that much mass. After my injury, I also continued clomid use for a couple of weeks, which was probably another beneficial factor. Good luck bro. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Hey bud, Had a torn tendon repaired and the Whole shoulder tightened. It was in a sling for about 6 weeks. Physio started on week seven. Anadrol and deca started the same day..The physio only lasted 4 weeks. full recovery the specialist was astounded until I told him what I did.. now the other shoulder needs the same thing.. Good Luck ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Some good advice from the bros here. Do some real light (grey theraband) type activities just to maintain the joint capsule, starting as soon as 2 weeks postop. Nandralone or primo would be fine. Good luck bro. Peace! P.S. Work on your back muscles and external rotators before you start doing chest and shoulders again. If you use deca or primo you can get back in the game earlier, but don't be in a rush. Get well. If you are lucky you can start slapping on plates in about 3 months postop. I have had two surgerys on my right shoulder from wrestling in high school I didn't lift serious for about 6 months because if you start to early you will loosen the shoulder capsule too much. Also try to stay away from all lift that go behing your head because this will really loosen your shoulder. I know it sucks and I feel for you but try to stay positive!! DOG - Due to a high dive gone bad. Chipped the bone at the top of my arm where the rotator cuff attaches. Tore the stabilizer muscles too. Couldn't even move my arm in the slightest for a week. No surgery was needed. But lot of phy therapy. This was back in july. I'm still only at %50 which is great considering I started therapy with NO WEIGHTS! And couldn't do some movements for 2 months. You will prolly recover quicker than I have just cause you got the surgery. PATIENCE is all I can tell you. It's humbling but it helped me concentrate on the rest of my body which until then I didn't realize I was neglecting. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
