my came out fine, but friend did his and his finished product has a very, very thin layer of red at the bottom(glue i presume)--should he filter thru a coffee filter or could he just shake it up and shoot it? ------------------     | ||

if it's already suspended in oil, i don't think you'll get it to go through a coffee filter. just shake and draw it out....if you have one available, use a syringe filter PS...i don't really know the exact answer, so please wait for more responses, i'm just going with my personal knowledge and gut feeling.... ------------------ | ||

So who's kit did you use? Did you follow the instructions? I sure wouldn't use it till I found out what it was. Shaking it up and injecting just doesn't sound like a good ideal...... . | ||

By the time I finished my last bottle of fina there was a red residue at the bottom, glue Im guessing Anyway, it was a great addition to my cycle and worked fine-Tomo | ||

Bring water to a boil in a tea kettle- pour a little into a mug- put the fina vial in the mug- give the vial a twirl- refilter with a cofffee filter and they filter again with a syringe filter. Good Luck. ------------------ | ||

Don't shake it! You will have to refilter if you do. Just draw and inject the clear yellow part done to the red. You can save and refilter when you make the next kit, or just pitch it - the shit is cheap. Its common for that red layer to reform. You could probably get it out with just a syringe filter, but if its small, it ain't worth fuckin with. If you heat it and run it through a coffee filter as Mr H suggested, It will not be sterile, and you will need to heat resterilize the whole batch. No big deal - preheat oven to 250, bake for 15 min., repeat 2 times. | ||
